15 years ago A dark, stormy night with foul tension in the air and a sharp turbulent wind kicking up sand reaching into a dimly lit cave where multiple shady looking people wearing robes with 5 of them being the only ones wearing colors and two sides parting into half standing parallel to each other with different garment colors, black and white. The 5 with colors start to make a formation which is similar to an occult circle and speak “The 2 who have been chosen by the black and white come join us brethren in making history, come and succeed with us in forming the final result for the spectrum!” The 2 step up and come in to join, making the circle larger, but then start placing children on the ground and then one begins to speak “ This …show more content…
The third one puts the baby gently down, slowly and begins “Calming and soothing while being able to portray emotion, this one seems like many others yet, just her gaze gave me chills to the bone as if I was a useless piece of trash with but a simple look and such a young age, I deem her Azul!” Fourth stutters getting his words, out not as clear as the others “T-this one I chh-ose because she h-has been treated with endless aff-ection I got her from a noble family which treats the employees like their own family and keeps up its image as a great company not once a scandal so the n-name I chose for her was fuchsia.”(fyu-sha) The fifth one just says “ This infant shows more sparks than any other I’ve seen, just picked him up at an orphanage he seemed to like me and just kept laughing with what seemed endless energy so the name I chose for him will be Saffron.” The final two, the ones in black and white say in unison “ These two are complete opposites, the white one will face no hardships in life as it is the one that represents the light of getting closer to Ayano and so her name will be Astrid as she is destined to succeed and for the other we shall name him Lucifer as he is destined to contain everything terrible about this wretched world within himself and just be an existence who’s whole life will be nothing but a burden.” The rest stand up as if prepared for this moment and make the circle even larger and pull hands apart letting blood drip from their veins into the whole circle and each baby is surrounded by different colors and their eyes start changing from their original eye color, Aiden’s eyes to fiery red,Terra is eyes to dazzling green, Azul’s do not change as her eye color was already a frightening blue,Fuchsia has bright pink emanating from hers,Saffron’s spark a yellow,Astrid sporting a brilliant white and Lucifer’s eyes like a dead fish with lifelessness already willing to accept the meaningless existence he was given.” Then the first one who went

Carolo Ginzburg is one such individual. He wrote The Night Battles to try and show the fundamental differences between witches of the middle ages and the agricultural based cult Benandante. He uses this text to provide readers with a better understanding of this cult.

Most likely, you must have heard of the suicide crisis occurring in the community, along with all the suicide attempts happening there, the living conditions and the increasing suicide rates. This community has been the center of many issues, including the housing crisis, and the suicide crisis and so on.
Erik Alvarez Professor Bogusky December 02, 2015 INTRODUCTION Hello everyone, one of my earliest memories that I have from school is from my first day of kindergarten. I remember walking into my ESL, english as a second language class, & instantly being questioned as to why I was in there. My fellow classmates assumed I was asian because of how I looked and teased me to the point of tears. In reality, I am of Guatemalan origin.

Slide 1- Introduction Good morning/afternoon everybody, today I have been assigned with informing you all about the Aztecs, or more importantly, the reason for their annihilation. Now you may be thinking that it was mainly to do with a war, but it is actually almost solely a disease called the variola disease or as it’s more commonly known, small-pox Slide 2-What were the symptoms and effects Now you may be wondering what made the disease so dangerous to the Aztecs. The main problem of the disease was the fact that not only did it kill 3/10 people effected it also severely lowered the victims fighting capabilities meaning that when the Spanish attempted to fight the Aztecs, it became much more favourable to the Aztecs. I believe that my greatest skill is baseball. In my youth, I found that I didn’t enjoy sports as much as my parents pushed me to try them. Quite possibly the competitive nature of sports was not enjoyable and I felt that staying within the comforts of home was better. However, something clicked after following baseball for a season and I urged my parents to sign me up.
On November 7, my family and I were invited to attend a quinceanera. A quinceanera is a traditional celebration of life and gratitude to the fifteenth birthday of a young Hispanic girl. It is believed that it was first celebrated by the Aztecs and Mayans and was adapted by the Spanish Catholics that conquered South America. The ancient Mexicans, or Aztecs, had many ceremonies to mark passages through the stages of life. This ritual emphasizes the young girls journey into womanhood and to announce her new social role to the entire community.

Flashback to my junior year. I sat quietly in my AP Lang class as my teacher, Mrs. Fisher, announced that the reading competition between the language arts classes called for the book count for September. She stood at the board, marker in hand, staring out expectantly at her large class. Hands shot up across the classroom, and my own nervous hand rose up to join them. Mrs. Fisher happily chalked up the small fortune of books that our class had read.
