Ashton - Mr. Sterling, Tom, Jerry Nicole - Tammy, Mrs. Richards, Narrator The Dirty Prank It was a sunny spring day on a small bank, in a city in downtown Florida, where the leaves were growing, and the flowers were blooming. On my way to art class, I saw all the kids playing on the playground and everyone wearing T-shirts and shorts. It was a Friday in April and I was getting ready for my art class and I had something special planned. “Hi, Mrs. Richards. It is a very nice day today,” I had said with a huge smile. “It is a nice day,” Mrs. Richards replied. During the art class, I had said something to Mrs. Richards. “Hey Mrs. Richards, I think there is a piece of string on your shoes!” I shouted. “Oh, there is a piece of string there!” …show more content…
After school, I went to detention and sat there and did nothing. Then Mr. Sterling came into the detention. “I hope you are having fun here,” Mr. Sterling said. “Well, I don’t see what I did wrong,” I shrugged. Then I saw my mom come into the room to talk to Mr. Sterling. “What did my son do? He never gets in trouble!” My mom yelled. Then my mom randomly picked up a soccer ball, then threw it in Mr. Sterling’s face. “OWWWWW!” yelled Mr. Sterling. “I can’t believe my son is in detention for doing something he didn’t do!” My mom shouted. “What he did was pranked Mrs. Richards,” explained Mr. Sterling. Then my mom asked, “Why did you do that, Tom?” “I did it because Mrs. Richards dumped paint on me and called me a loser in front of everyone,” I said. “Why would she do something like that?” My mom asked. “I think she hates me even though I have been a good kid,” I assumed. “Can you believe what she did!?” My mom asked madly to Mr. Sterling. As we turned to look, he was already out of the office. We tried to find him and we looked in the art room, and we saw Mr. Sterling talking to Mrs. Richards who was covered in paint. “I’m sorry for what Tom did to you,” Mr. Sterling nicely

To begin with, I’m going to tell you about a story that we are reading in Mrs. Gibson’s class. The name of this book called “Bad Boy” by Walter Dean Myers. I’m only going to tell you about chapter 5&6. First off, in the beginning of the chapter Walter and his friends shocked the pastor. “how did they do that?”
The mother was seen in the office today by me again. It was a result of my calling her up yesterday that she showed up. Her dress was very simple, not what I espected at all. She seem ambivalent about coming to see me – didn’t know what I was going to do I guess. Most of the time we talked about Charlie.
“Jesus, Tom, of course I do! I just thought you felt differently about me because I behaved like such an asshole and—” “Whoa,” Tom admonished quietly. “Let’s not keep laying blame. I love you, more than I’ve loved anyone I think, and I want you to show me how I can prove it to you.” Booker’s brows knitted together in puzzlement.
“Because Charles you need the extra practice,” Mom said. “No I don’t mom,” said Charles. “Yes you do and it doesn’t matter I already signed you up for it so, you're going to do it,” said Mom. When Charles got to middle school he was one of the best players on the field.
Jack finally had some competition at shortstop for first time in his life. At the end of practice Jack asked Joe if “He wanted to go out and get some pizza with him and he could show him around downtown.” But Joe said “He had to go home and help his mom move their stuff into their new house, but maybe we could go get pizza with him another time”. Tomorrow afternoon Jack and Joe had their next practice.
He keeps going in my room.” Mom: “Why don’t we make a rule that your room is off-limits to Michael unless you give your permission?” I will help you make it work, but no more hitting.” Jennifer: “Okay…I am sorry I pushed you down, Michael.” 7.
In the story “Time of Wonder” the writer and illustrator Robert McCloskey creates a mesmerizing picture book. Throughout the book he relates his message to the reader of taking time to enjoy the weather and nature. Likewise, the reader is able to experience these events directly with phrases such as “IT’S RAINING ON YOU” (McCloskey 10). One event the reader is able to conjure up is the ocean in Maine with the taste of salt on their tongue. Moreover, the reader visualizes the calm sea on a sunny day and fears the roaring wind before a hurricane.
“THOMAS!” my mother yelled. “I’ve had enough of this conversation! We can talk about this later!” I don’t think they saw me walking in, so when I set my books on the table, they were startled.
I tried to get my revenge on him. After all he killed my dear wife! Boy I was wrong, turns out Tom had just retuned back from the city. He told me everything. He was not behind the wheels of that damned car.
The deafening roar from the crowd filled my ears, as it had done so many times before. I reached down, picked up my ear pieces lying across my shoulders, and placed one in each ear. As the stagehand passed me the mic, my pulse quickened. Standing on the platform beneath the stage, waiting for it to rise, my shoulders tightened. Fourteen years, performing on stages around the world hadn't banished my pre-show jitters.
I went in silently trying not to disturb anyone so that I wouldn't be seen. Your mom and dad were outside in the backyard sitting on the swing chatting about something. I quickly went out of the house careful when shutting the door so there wouldn't be any suspicion, heading to the backyard gun in hand. Your mother was the first to realize something was wrong and when she saw me she froze not because I was pointing a gun at your father and her but it was about something else it was the moment she saw my face.
The children yelled, “I’m going to lock you up! I’m going to lock you up, and you ain’t never coming home!” I once saw a six-year-old pull another child’s pants down to do a “cavity search.” (pg105) The author’s use of tone illustrates that instances like this are an everyday thing.
Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s “The Yellow Wallpaper” is a first-person written feminist short story that critiques and condemns the nineteenth-century American male attitude towards women and their physical as well as mental health issues. In the short story, Perkins Gilman juxtaposes universal gender perspectives of women with hysterical tendencies using the effects of gradually accumulating levels of solitary confinement; a haunted house, nursery, and the yellow wallpaper to highlight the American culture of inherited oblivious misogyny and promote the equality of sexes. The narrator and her husband, John, embody the general man and woman of the nineteenth century. John, like the narrator’s brother and most men, is “a physician of high
