Nasi lemak is rice cooked with coconut milk and pandan leaf, it can be found in Kakilima restaurant. The santan that is used to make it can be tasted. Crispy fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, cucumber slices, half-boiled egg and sambal are the main ingredients of Nasi lemak. Sambal is the primary ingredient that can be found in every Nasi lemak, it is spicy sauce made from chili peppers and some ingredients such as shrimp paste, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, sugar, lime juice, and vinegar. Kakilima’s Nasi lemak is filled with the aroma of coconut and the hot sambal. The added values of Kakilima restaurant’s Nasi lemak is that it comes commonly not available in the traditional Nasi lemak. It is served with banana leaves underneath it, this enhance the aromatic scent of the Nasi lemak. Nowadays, it is hard with “rendang” chicken, which to find that Nasi lemak that is served on banana leaves in Malaysia. Because they’re located in a mall below a condominium, they set their price to a point where it is acceptable for the condominium’s residence. As the holder award for the “best nasi lemak in Klang”, they provide good quality of standard nasi lemak at a price of just RM12. Its standard nasi lemak comes with ayam rendang, crispy anchovies, half-boiled egg, cucumber and sambal. With these ingredients, their standard nasi lemak is just RM12 compared to other stall or restaurant nasi lemak. There are a few other types of nasi lemak, the price are set accordingly depending on its ingredients. Drinks are also available, it comes separately and together with the food (bundle).
