In this part of the story, 'She drove home and waited for two days for him to return, then she called the police' is foreshadowing because in the story it says that the husbands plan went perfectly and then the narrator tells us that the wife drove home and waited for her husband's arrival, but he never came. The wife figured out about her husband's ' ... she realized what he was planning' and decided to use it against him. Foreshadowing is being used in the story again when the wife kills her husband' A body with no money in the wallet, and the gun that had killed him... she had thrown his gun' which leads to the idea that no one can ever know who to fully trust no matter what the relationship they share
Her last hope was to get a stay of execution, which happened on September 30, 2002 by Governor Jeb Bush and he ordered a mental examination to determine whether Wuornos was competent to be executed. Florida law states that an inmate cannot be executed unless she understands why she is being executed. An examination by three psychiatrists determined that Wuornos was competent to be executed and the stay was lifted. On October 9, 2002 Aileen Wuornos was executed by lethal injection in Florida State prison. Her last words before being executed were “I’d just like to say I’m sailing with the rock, and I’ll be back like Independence Day, with Jesus June 6.

Good morning Ms. Rummel, my sole purpose today is to convince you of Penelope’s complete innocence. In the book the Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood, the tale of the Odyssey was retold through the eyes of Penelope, Odysseus’s wife. Towards the end of the book, when Odysseus returns to his home, Ithaca, he orders for Penelope’s twelve handmaidens to be hung, as a punishment for sleeping with the suitors during the twenty years when he was away. Many people believe that Penelope caused the murder of the twelve maids; however, if you pay close attention to the book and its subtext, there are many other people besides Penelope that have a larger claim to the responsibility of the maids’ murder. Through thoroughly analyzed evidence from the book itself,
Adnan claims that he was at school when hae disappeared and he went to track practice. An important piece of information that was overlooked by the state, provides an alibi for Adnan. “McClain testified during Syed’s post-conviction hearing last week, saying she spoke with him at the public library on Jan. 13, 1999 at the very time the state says Syed killed Lee”. Asia McClain, a girl who went to the same school as Adnan and Hae said she saw Adnan at the library at the same time the state said Hae died at. If this statement is true, it would have been impossible for Adnan to be the killer..

Zimmerman told police that he shot Trayvon in self-defense after following him for a few minutes because he was acting suspicious. On the night of the crime, Zimmerman was held at the police station for only five hours before being discharged. He was charged with second degree murder but eventually found not guilty of his crimes. The case gained national attention soon after Trayvon died, when his family created an online petition to have George Zimmerman arrested.
