PER REPORTER: February 2016, Nathan was admitted to the Lakeside Hospital for suicidal ideation. He was also being sexually abuse by his sister at the time of his admission. It is unknown how long the sexual abuse took place or where is took place. It is also unknown where the children’s mother was during the time of the sexual abuse. It is also unknown if there were any witnesses around when the incident took place. It is also unknown if Nathan has been displaying any type of sexual behaviors. The reporter said it is believed that Nathan has been examined because he was referred to Lakeside by another unknown doctor. The reporter said Nathan was at Lakeside for fourteen days. It is also unknown who the family’s case worker is or what state they have a opened case in. The reporter said she works for the hotline in Nashville, TN and this reporter was went to them but they found out the family lives in Mississippi. She said she believes the family’s case may be opened in Mississippi and not Nashville. The reporter said Tiffany also told Jeanie that “Nathan’s sister had an opened case prior to this incident”. It is unknown if the case involved Nathan or another child. The reporter mentioned that Tiffany did express concern and she said she wants help for Nathan’s sister. However, Tiffany did not say she would keep the child separated from each other. Tiffany also mentioned to Jeanie that she had to contact law enforcement on March 21, 2017, because Nathan’s sister went outside to the pond and removed her shirt and would not come back in the house. It is unknown if Tiffany contacted Mississippi or Tennessee’s law enforcement agency. However, according to Tiffany the police did not do anything about Nathan’s sister’s behavior. Kimberly complained to the owner of the daycare about the lack of communication. That was when the daycare owner watched a video of Alexis interacting with the toddler. They saw Alexis kick the toddler when he was trying to bring her a toy. She was later arrested. Alexis has no prior criminal history.
On 7/9/15 worker made an unannounced visit to the residence of Ms. Bernice Connell, for the purpose of making first victim contact. Ms. Kayley McKinnon, granddaughter-in-law of Ms. Connell greeted worker at the door and showed worker to Ms. Connell 's room. The room was cluttered but did not present with an odor. Ms. Connell was lying in bed watching TV, she was appropriately dressed with good personal hygiene. Ms. Connell stated she had lived with her son, Earnest McKinnon, and daughter-in-law, Arlinda McKinnon, for two years.
It is unknown if Dalton was going to use the pistol to cause harm to himself. Dalton disclosed to the reporter that: "He has not seen Regina since he was placed in Fred and Natalie's home." Katie Thomas sent a letter to the State Office, reporting the following information. Several letters, emails and phone calls have been made to the hotline, concerning to Koasheca. Koasheca is abusing the kids. She tried to kill the baby, and threatened suicide. Koasheca moves from house to house, and from state to state, whenever questions about the child arise.
This was quoted by Kurt Grunrow, Barry’s brother. Defenders of Nathaniel argued that with Nate’s age and history that this was something out of trauma. The jurors were debating if it was either first or second degree murder. If first degree, Nathan would have to face a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole. 10/29/2015 at approximately 1918 hours, this officer was dispatched to 207 Florida Avenue for a mother and daughter domestic. Both Denise and Shirley HAZLETT could be heard screaming while I was outside the home on the sidewalk. This altercation was occurring during Shenandoah Height's trick or treat event with numerous neighbors, parents and children walking around the home. I briefly spoke with several neighbors who were standing outside. They expressed thier concerns about Denise and Shirley HAZLETT.
Reporter stated yesterday the children were suppose to get off at The Brittany 's Apartments but they got on the bus to go to the grandmother 's home. Reporter stated mom called the school fussing and was suppose to call back to let the school know if they made it to the grandmother 's home. Reporter stated mom did not call back. Reporter stated she had to call mom back at the additional number provided. Mom has several numbers that do not work.

The grandfather had called both the girls at about 4 PM and he got no answer. He had then called Becky Patty to say that the girls weren’t where they were supposed to be. He had then became concerned, that maybe they had to take an alternate route or that they had fallen and gotten hurt. The girls had gone missing the day before they were found along a property a half a mile east of the Monon High Bridge. The police released video footage on February 15, 2017 from one of the girl’s phones.

Caylee’s grandmother called the police after a month of not seeing her grandchild, noticing she went missing. She also reported her car smelled like there had been a dead body in it. Caylee’s grandmother said her daughter Casey had given various explanations as to where her daughter was week after week before calling the cops. Casey had also lied to the detectives that her daughter had been kidnapped by a babysitter on June 9th and tried to warn the police but was too scared. Moving from one place to another at such a young age is bound to leave some trauma, then I would like to account the abuse that took place in the family, with beatings from a overly strict father, sexual abuse from a mother; someone that is supposed to protect and nurture, then the mental abuse that left young Nathan sad and confused. It was only a matter of time before he snapped and the person he did snap on happen to be the main cause of his problems. I’m not saying what he did was not bad, because it was; I am simply stating that events led up to his mother death, he didn’t just decide to come home and just start
