Community service is not only about receiving hours to put on a resume, but it is something you do to guide others and make them feel better. An example of this was when I was part of the MLK day of service at Stockton University two years in a row where I sewed pillows and pins to support the unfortunate; this was a great experience where I was able to make new friends and contribute to the society. Service is not only about being part of large organizations, but it is also about doing small deeds for others, like staying after school and contributing to the club even if it is not mandatory. I also was part of Project Green where I picked up garbage on the beach and planted marram grass.
I try my best to participate in as many as I can. These include Student Council, People Helping People, cross country, basketball (high school and AAU), softball, church choir and Relay for Life. The past three years I have been an officer in the Student Council and a member of a team whether it was sports or church. On the basketball court I am the point guard which is the playmaker of the team.
“If you’re going to do something, then do it right.” This quote is a great representation of my attitude towards my education. With that, I always make sure that I excel in all my classes and join organizations that will benefit me in the long run. Knowing that being a possible member of the National Honor Society will highlight my academics, leadership, character, and service, I believe that NHS will also give me the opportunity to shape myself and continue going in the direction of a successful future.
It is an honor for me to be invited to join such an exclusive society of distinguished people. I am excited about being part of the National Honor Society in view of the limitless opportunities and the strong support system it represents for me. I consider myself a scholar, by reason of the fact that I thrive to excel in my academics and accomplish my best in any achievable way. Through my years as a student I have worked on helping my classmates and my community in any way I possibly can. By offering equine therapy to participating in the climate reality project I have demonstrated leadership and service to my community.
Also, this club provides many community service opportunities, it helps me to volunteer to make thanksgiving cards for Central Baptism. Also, it helps me to be responsible when I have to sell some things
Veterans like myself, young and with determination, are enrolling more and more every year in universities. I am proud to have serve this country and I am glad that it changed my life for better. Although being in the military may have had some negative aspects of it, I would never change my decision of
Being nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. I was certainly looking to be a part of this prestigious honor society since the beginning of my high school career here in United States. The organization will give me an opportunity to work with the exemplary students who share and vision the same goal as I do, the betterment of the society. I believe I can contribute my knowledge and attributions towards this society as this organization do many great things. I am a very hard working student and I earnestly can be trusted upon when a task is required to be
Words that demonstrate a qualifier for National Honors Society. I have shown and demonstrated these words several times in a positive manner at events that either help the community or people benefit from it. Today in society it is hard to find the good in the world, however I believe I have good intentions to help people in every way I can possible. Being inducted into National Honors Society is more than just a certificate. It tells me that all the hard work I’ve put into my academics, clubs, sports, and community involvement has really payed off.
In addition to Student Council, I am responsible and dependable as a student and fellow peer. However, the reason why I feel I need to improve my leadership is because I need to demonstrate more leadership within the classroom. I will do this by speaking up more, offering opinions, giving feedback to the teachers on common issues all the students are facing, and so
I demonstrate leadership skills, reliability, ethics, and kindness. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society would aid me in developing my skills, giving back to the community and it would greatly benefit me as a scholar. The National Honor Society would also give me a safe place to network and exchange ideas with other like-minded individuals. Ultimately, with the help of the National Honor Society, I will continue to grow and become a productive member of
First off, I am humbled to be considered for membership of the National Honor Society. In my opinion on the foundation of the four pillars of NHS the FPC NHS chapter will benefit from my membership because I will bring intellect, drive, leadership, character, dedication to serve my community, honesty, respect, pride, discipline, compassion and among many other qualities a sense of humor. As an active member of my school and community I work hard to serve not just myself but those around me. I am an active volunteer throughout Flagler County as previously stated. I am a teenage volunteer at the Florida Hospital Flagler.
National Honor Society can help me become a professional in the future. This organization creates enthusiasm for scholarships, develops character in students, and promotes leadership. NHS has many activities with students that can develop my leadership skills and help me achieve my goals as a professional in the future. There are different ways to contribute to the success and growth of the NHS. I would get actively involved in the activities sponsored by the NHS and will support my peers.

I always maintain an A gradepoint average so I will have better chances for college and other future educational needs. I participate in National Honor Society, Peer Mediation, and Reading Team for clubs. In National Honor Society, we are prepared for leadership and a general lifelong success. In Peer Mediation we promote the idea of problem solving with the process of doing so by putting peers together. The Reading Team is a organization in which we get together and read books and later go on to compete against other schools.
