I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
First off, I am humbled to be considered for membership of the National Honor Society. In my opinion on the foundation of the four pillars of NHS the FPC NHS chapter will benefit from my membership because I will bring intellect, drive, leadership, character, dedication to serve my community, honesty, respect, pride, discipline, compassion and among many other qualities a sense of humor. As an active member of my school and community I work hard to serve not just myself but those around me. I am an active volunteer throughout Flagler County as previously stated. I am a teenage volunteer at the Florida Hospital Flagler.
Eric Klein influenced me to apply to Syracuse University, he is a currently in his senior year at Syracuse University. I have grown up being around Eric and his family. Most of the Klein family has attended Syracuse University. Including, Scott Klein, Debbie Klein, David Klein and now Eric Klein.The Klein family is very successful in everything they do, and that is also a huge influence on applying to Syracuse. He absolutely loves his experience so far, and it has enabled him to thrive in his education.
I have been given numerous opportunities to prove myself, both in the classroom and out, and I believe I have done so. I made a positive impact on a younger peer, and I am proud of that. In my mind, that is one of my biggest accomplishments. I have maintained good grades, and challenged myself. I have learned how to balance myself.
My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Mackey made a positive effect on my life. She was a very impactful teacher who even today I speak to often. She went above and beyond to ensure that her students were achieving in her classroom. Mrs. Mackey had a relationship with every student in her class and kept up with us through our middle school and high school years. We had such a relationship that she wrote a recommendation letter for me when I was applying for scholarships.
I chose National Honor Society as my most important activity to me. Being a part of National Honor Society means to me that I have accomplished many of my goals in my academic career; such as my grade point average and my upper ranking amongst my fellow classmates. I chose this also because it allows me to be a leader for my classmates and school members.
I would be honored to be a recipient of the Seaman High School Historical Society Scholarship. I want to be a recipient of this scholarship because I would like to be remembered as being a student that attended and graduated from this great school district. I think it is extremely important to preserve the history of USD 345, it 's students, graduates, faculty and administration. I believe it is important to create and maintain a permanent display of photographs, yearbooks, school newspapers, as well as any other significant or important memorabilia. As a candidate of National Honor Society, I possess the qualities as it will include leadership and character. I have taken the most difficult honor courses since the beginning of highschool and still maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout. Also, I have joined clubs to expand my knowledge of certain areas, which include DECA and Spanish Club. To add, I have been to two competitions, including this year 's Academic Team. Furthermore, I lead some of my classes, teaching them how do some of the work while having patience and confidence as I help them.
I was delighted after receiving the letter informing me I was eligible to become part of the National Junior Honor Society. It would be a privilege to be accepted into such a prestigious group as the one listed. The NJHS is known for helping students learn leadership skills and unlock their full potential and I firmly believe that I would love to be a part of it. Starting off my list of goals I want to start by finishing my school year out strong and work to my best ability to accomplish them. An example of a goal I have is to make it on the all A honor roll for all four quarters, and to receive the scholarships that I applied for. Other goals that come to mind is getting into the college I applied for, and sustain a high GPA to accomplish other goals at college. With these goals I have set for my life ahead, it will help me work to my highest potential. Another goal I have is to be a great leader/ role model for not only my family, underclassmen, but my community.
I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to join the National Honor Society and be among some of the most exceptional students in our school. Being given this opportunity shows my family and myself that I’ve truly worked as hard as I can to succeed. Growing up around adults with a good work ethic has taught me to see the reality in life. Working hard will help create a better future. I not only work hard in my classes but I also participate in sports which gives me the experience of being a leader.
Therefore, I plan to continue my active involvement in extracurricular activities while I am a college student. As a junior in high school, I was inducted into the National Honor Society for doing exceptionally well in my academic endeavors and actively participating in volunteer events. My contributions through this organization have made a significant impact on both my personal development and my community’s support services. The numerous volunteer projects in which I have participated have prepared me to continue helping others in the future. Through projects such as building houses from the ground-up with Habitat for Humanity, I have developed teamwork skills, discovered my management potential, and increased my social network, all while working to provide services for less fortunate individuals in my community.
The National Honor Society is an exceptional organization that allows students to help the needy, children, the elderly, and non-profit organizations. I would be excited to join such a society because of the limitless opportunities it presents to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person, and do as much as I can for others. Throughout my years as a student, I have shown great examples of scholarship, leadership, character and service that I believe would qualify to join this prestigious society. As Wikipedia defines it, the word scholarship means academic study or achievement; learning at a high level.

I recognize the National Junior Honor Society as a prestige group that contains members who excel at demonstrating Scholarship, Service, Citizenship, Character, and Leadership. They prove to have many advantages, a highly beneficial one being the experience in such an honorable organization. It would be a great honor to be inducted into NJHS, as it would not only benefit myself but the club. I have been told frequently that I surpass average at demonstrating scholarship.
