From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. Being a vice captain, I played an important role in addressing and motivating students, advising and helping them, and earning points for my group by participating in many competitions alone or in a team. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration. Similarly, I would like to serve as a resource to university administration.
National Junior Honor Society An important factor about national junior honor society is being a leader. With all these statements in mind I believe I have many of these characteristics and others. In the past two years I have participated in many after school activities and in the Dover districted.
I was delighted after receiving the letter informing me I was eligible to become part of the National Junior Honor Society. Americorps represents the theory of idealism. As a future teacher, I feel that this form of practice is essential to educating our youth. Serving as an advocate of Americorps member I feel that this program would heighten my experience and knowledge of teaching.
As a member of FPC’s future problem solvers and community problem solvers club I have embraced and enhanced my problem solving and critical thinking skills to allow myself to lead my peers. My pivotal leadership role as a Varsity captain for FPC’s Girls Lacrosse speaks volumes as to how my coaches and teammates view me. As a mentor to other players on my team I aid them on and off the field; offering a friendship they can confide in, and tips/tricks they can use to improve their skills. I work with my peers in various clubs to help better them in any way I can. I greatly understand the importance of bettering our school.

I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to join the National Honor Society and be among some of the most exceptional students in our school. Being given this opportunity shows my family and myself that I’ve truly worked as hard as I can to succeed. Growing up around adults with a good work ethic has taught me to see the reality in life. Working hard will help create a better future. I not only work hard in my classes but I also participate in sports which gives me the experience of being a leader.
Character and personality As a beginning teacher, I believe in building relationships with the students, parents, and community. I think that volunteering and being involved in the community is a very important role as a teacher. It demonstrates that you care about your students life, seeing them and engaging with them outside of the school atmosphere. With students, I feel that I have the ability to relate content to students by being energetic. I think your voice needs to show passion, especially in read alouds.

In Key club and NHS I am able to volunteer in traditional ways, but National Arts Honors Society allows me to contribute to my community and school in a creative way that stimulates people 's minds through art. Due to these activities having a significant impact on my life my future career options are based around what I have learned from them. I plan to attend college to study art within the marketing/communications field in the upcoming years.
