Depletion is the reduction of the quantity of something. Natural resource depletion is that the consumption of the resource is faster than it produces. Example of natural resources can be water, wood, crops and oil. India is located in the continent of Asia. The neighboring countries are China, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. India is a country with the population of 1.349 billion in 2018. India is ranked number 2 in the list of countries by population. More simply, today in India 14.7 people in every 100,000 die of an o-zone related illness. (Jones, 2017) LOST OF BIODIVERSITY The main cause of loss of biodiversity are deforestation, global warming, overpopulation and pollution are few of the major causes for loss of biodiversity. In fact human beings have deeply altered the environment, and have modified the territory, exploiting the species directly. OZONE LAYER DEPLETION Ozone layer plays an important role to protect the earth from harmful ultraviolet rays. The reason that the ozone layer depletion is the production and emission of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCc). There are many other substances that lead to ozone layer depletion such as hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Such substances are found in vehicular emissions, by-products of industrial processes, aerosols and refrigerants. I. Introduction Long ago, since ancient time humans have been using energy and striving for the betterment of themselves, it all began with the use of tools which led to the discovery of fire, from this great breakthrough, humans evolved exponentially. Eons have passed and humans are still using fire to ease their daily lives from cooking, mobility and electricity, but due to the increase in advancement of technologies, it has also increased damages to the planet, thus the governments had started to move towards a producing or replacing the old harmful substance to a less harmful ones, but since one of the most used and one of the highest cause of ozone depletion is chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), it has been banned from production due to the Montreal Protocol 1991, one of the causes as to why it was banned is one of the chemicals it contain is chlorine, once a certain condition is met it depletes the ozone layer, ergo with earth shield compromised more harmful ultraviolet rays will get into the planet, thus only the reservoir of CFC are being used today, now it’s a race against time to replace this CFC with other materials that is less harmful and either as or more efficient than it. There are not a lot of ways to replace chlorofluorocarbon. Some of the most prominent ones are hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and magneto caloric effect (MCE).
In North Carolina there is huge deforestation problem. We are losing trees at a rapid pace and this must slow down or we will lose many of our natural ecosystems. I propose a solution to this problem, for every tree that is cut down you are legally required to plant a new tree. This would be put into place on a state level and would definitely help with the issue of the destruction of forests in North Carolina. Deforestation is the act of cutting down a large quantity of trees in a short period of time.
Subject- Deforestation affects majority of the population, including people and animals, across the nation and in my community. Situation or Problem- Deforestation is the action of eliminating trees, in forests, by cutting them down. The objective of deforestation is to create more land for construction and land establishments with the idea of not restoring thee trees back or replacing them. How it affects my community- Deforestation can disrupt the homes of many animals, including birds and fish.

One of the greatest issues that we face towards the environment has been an increasingly difficult problem over the last few years. Earths climate is changing at rapid paces and solutions are needed as quickly as possible to replenish natural ecosystems and cultures that depend on the environment. Climate change not only affects the animals in our ecosystem, but us humans as well. With the human population increasing every year, climate change is only getting worse.
