Travel of a soul from India to England in few minutes and return with the news of welfare of wife of an Englishman.
(This is perhaps true story but I do not know the source)
Mr. Nagendra Nath Thakur, an employee in Railways, was working with an English man who was his senior officer. It was early part of twentieth century, One day Mr.Thakur observed that his superior was looking grim and worried. He asked the reason for his worry.
Englishman replied, "Mr. Thakur, My wife is in England and is not well. I have not received any message from her. Those were the days when quick communication was not available. Mr. Thakur said, "Please give me a few minutes and I shall tell you about her condition."

It has not been seen, photographed or detected by any existing instrument of science. (There is a recent reference of taking a photograph of soul by bio electro photography). Other reference on weighing the loss in weight of a body after death has been reported. But neither of these is conclusive. However one can try to form a vague description of the soul by considering its properties. Some of the properties that we can think of are as follows:
1. Is it electromagnetic in nature? No direct evidence has been found to indicate that Jiv Atman is magnetic or electromagnetic in nature. According to Hindu mythology it is believed that a man after death must be placed with head towards north and foot towards south. A Hindu does not sleep with head towards north and feet towards south. This may make one think that the human body is magnetic in nature. No test for this nature of a human body has been reported so far.
2. It is believed that the soul has very little weight. Some people have tried to measure it but not with good success. It may be said that it must be made of some such material wherein the material constituting the soul must be several thousand times smaller and lighter than protons and electrons. No such material is known till
