I don't think you can just be born a certain way. We become the person we are by life experiences I also think it is based off of the people we surround ourselves with or the environment we grew up in. Since nurture is more based off of how we were raised, childhood experiences,or the environment we are in. I definitely agree with nurture for example if a child grows up in a loving and well mannered environment the child will most likely grow up as a loving, caring and compassionate person. I feel that nurture allows the parent to mold the child based off of their influences. Not every child turns out that way though. My parents have did nothin but try to raise myself and my other siblings in best way they can but as my younger brother has
How do we become who we are today? Are we born this way, or are we slowly transformed by the world around us? This controversy is most often recognized as the nature verses nurture conflict. Some people believe that it is strictly genes that affects our ways of life, others believe that it is the environment that affects us. Though genetics makes us who we are genetically, the environment in which we are raised directly shapes our life.
Lastly is that Nature and Nurture should not be disentangled. Although both nature and nurture play some part in development of an individual, they are not dependent aspects of psychology that is required for one to be influenced. For each individual, it is different and the factors of each concept influence individuals differently around the
Faith Gage S. Zimdars-Swartz Intro to Humanities October 19 2015 Nature vs Nurture Which is more dominate nature vs nurture. In this paper I will be arguing that nurture is more dominate than nature. Out of Jack London’s stories I have chosen to compare and contrast batard, white fang, and Scott. In Batard and White fang there are several examples of nature vs nutrtue.
Nurture is generally taken as the influence of external factors after conception, experience, and learning on an individual. Also it is believed that all behaviors are learned from the environment through conditioning. One can also argue that Kuklinski’s criminal behaviors stem from the environmental factors. He had many influences from his father and society. His father was very abusive to he and his siblings.
The “Nature” part of the debate states that genes determine an individual’s personality and the actions they take towards the world, while the “Nurture” part claims that the environment one grows up in determines their development and the person they grow up to be (Nesterak, 2015). Although a lot of scientists believe that serial killers are born with a predisposition to kill because of their genes, according to psychologists and criminologists, there's a lot more evidence of there being environmental factors such as trauma in one's childhood, dysfunctional families, and exposure to violence whether in real life or in the form of media that lead to someone committing these heinous
This famous experiment proves that nurture also plays a big role in your behavior. Sometimes children might pick up traits from a role model of theirs which is also an example of nurture. If your parents raise you into violence you are most likely going to end up being a violent person.
I believe that the way people are nurtured heavily affects how they will be in later years, but some people are just born the way they are. “Her hair was the brightest living gold, and, despite the poverty of her clothing,
Are Human Beings born with genetic makeup that compels them toward a life of crime? Some individuals assume is it due to a life of adversities that lead to the life of delinquency. While others have the mindset that criminal behaviors are more complicated and involves the genetic coding within you. Maybe it's both, the one impacting the other. Perhaps you can be born with psychologically criminal instincts and then life events further your tendencies making you act in more criminalist.
However, those on the side of nurture believe that human mind is a blank state which is gradually filled as a result of experience (Mc Leod). Biologists believe that the chromosome makeup which is XX for women and XY for men and determine sex, and

Nurture is the Key to Human Developments Nurture is the entirety of environment influenced aspects which impact the growth and actions of an individual. Socrates believed that nurture plays a large role in the development of the individual because it can help gain self understanding, decide the way people view the world, and affect people’s nature. By learning knowledge from the world, people are able to identify themselves by understanding things like thoughts, actions, and emotions. For instance: through interactions with others, people can learn what a positive person is like. They have smiles on their faces all the time and won’t easily be affected by bad news.
My parents were very nurturing to me and my brother. I grew up in an environment that I was pleased to call home. Growing up my family was strict on both me and my brother. We were taught responsibility at an early age. My parents stressed how important it was for us to get an education so that when I have a family of my own we can assure that they will have a fruitful life.
There has been a long battle of nature and nurture and which one is responsible for the human social development. Many say it is solely biological that as humans we have innateness that separate us from others. Others argue that it is the experiences we have. Although we develop our social selves through both. It is not a matter of which one is responsible for social development but rather to what degree does each influence the social development of a human being.
Is it the environment that determines how we develop or is it our personalities that are shaped by biological or genetic forces? Nature is considered the biological forces or genetic causes of development. Nurture is considered as environmental causes of development. Nurture is said to be all important position of traditional behaviorism. Nurture is a very big role when talking about human development because it is said to speed up the way an individual learns and studies new things.
Nature examines what is inherited / genetic. Nurture refers to environmental influences. Together nature and nurture establish the constraints within which we as humans think. For example if one achieves academic success superior to that of peers is this due to this particular person being genetically predisposed to being successful or is it as a result of growing and developing within an enriched environment i.e. were they born to be intelligent and successful or did the environment within which they grew up in encourage and enrich the individual to becoming one who achieves great academic
