The theory that I think is most likely to come true is Jon Snow is not Ned Stark’s son but the offspring of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. What has been repeatedly said throughout the series is that Lyanna Stark was kidnapped by Rhaegar Targaryen but I would like to denounce that. Rhaegar was portrayed as a monster like his father, the Mad King. But many of these criticisms were made by enemies of the Targaryens. Such as the Starks, the Boratheons, the Lannisters, even Viserys Targaryen spoke choice words of his older brother, Rhaegar, to his little sister Daenerys (who was born after Rhaegar’s death). But Viserys was only five and if you can recall, he was quite the head case. Therefore when the story begins, it is after the Targaryen dynasty and the enemies of the Targaryens rule the Seven Kingdoms. Of course the audience will hear subjective accusations and only their side of their story. But I believe there is an untold story to what actually occurred. …show more content…

Barriston recalled Rhaegar as more of a singer than a killer. Selmy also said that Rhaegar would disguise himself as a musician and walk around the streets of king’s landing and sing. Little Finger, or Petyr Baelish also praises Rhaegar to Sansa Stark. Petyr recalled at the tourney of Harrenhal, Rhaegar pronounced Lyanna the “Queen of Love and Beauty”. Why would Baelish glorify and praise the “rapist” and “kidnapper” of Sansa’s aunt? Also, Ned Stark is too much of an honorable man to commit adultery with another woman. Nothing in the first season ever shown Ned Stark being dishonorable. So why would he break his law of moral code? Lyanna had one promise with Ned and it was never disclosed. It could be possible that Ned took Jon Snow in as his “bastard” so Jon would be saved from being slaughtered by the Lannisters, who were killing all the
