My scores from the LCI are as following: Sequence - 28 , Precision - 27, Technical - 24, and Confluence - 24. From my scores it shows I'm a Dynamic Learner. I use at least two Patterns as Use First Levels, then I use the remainders as either Use as Needed or Avoid Pattern. In my case I use them as Use as Needed Patterns. As a Dynamic Learner can move from one Pattern to another within one setting. I can feel/recognize when I am changing patterns. From how my level of confidence becomes, to how I operate. I can relate to others with the simular patterns as myself. I carry awareness in all relationships. I use Sequence a lot in my life. I can remember starting to use this in middle school, when I started writing assignments. I like clear concrete directions, I like to know what's expected of my work and myself. I like having that type of structure when I plan shopping trips, appointments, chores, and now school. I try to have as much structure as I can, especially with being a wife and mother. …show more content…
I'm sure a few are going to question couponing, but yes you use Percision more than other patterns. From keeping track of how many you have, where the best sales are, to how long you can use them for. I use this as well in purchasing a car to buying a house. Lots of research and planning before purchasing. I laughed when I was reading about Percision, I do love trivia games, game shows, and sports. I could see the connections
Anna garcia is a hispanic 38 year old woman who passed away in her home. Her height is 64 inches. She weighs 165 pounds. The circumstances of her death are quite mysterious, due to the evidence found in the Hair samples, shoeprint samples, fingerprint and etc. Anna died in her home in her living room and was found by her neighbor Doug Green.
More specifically, it can be seen in the time spent with
While ironic, the truth is that these organizers are quite common. The idea of structure and order is so enforced that even the things that should be done creatively, are organized and broken down into columns. Dalile says, “How do we expect students to be creative if teachers give them the outline, the title, and the structure of the “creative writing assignment?”” (Dalile 4). This rhetorical question is powerful because when readers finish reading it, many will think “Huh, yeah, that doesn’t make sense,” or even think of their own ideas to answer.
The article “Shitty First Drafts” by Anne Lamott is a simple article discussing how most well-written essays must come from a “shitty first draft.” Lamott simple yet effective organization, casual use of language, and style along with humor sells her concept that the scattered first draft does not have to be perfect and is necessary to create a well-written essay. In the article, Lamott uses simple organization. She begins the article with a brief introduction of the concept that few people can just sit down and write a perfect, beautiful essay or book on the spot.
The structure allows for a better flow of ideas to which he inserts words that further deepen his understanding and ours, and shows us his true attitude towards the subject of
Building friendships while couponing is fun because you get to be other couponers and tell them about deals that you have found. The friendships that are built in the culture serve a purpose of allowing others to snag the same deals as you and as well as couponing for your friends while they 're on vacation. Friendship is important in couponing because you get to learn new things from other couponers and you get to share coupons with each other instead of throwing them away. The communication in a friendship in the coupon culture is active because of the proxemic of being social with others while gathering information and coupon
You think the world is ultimately a just place; you will have a tendency to look for reasons to blame victims of inexplicable injustices. This is the concept of the cognitive bias “Just World Phenomenon”. The following example of Just World Phenomenon was presented to us while discussing the lecture on the different classifications of cognitive bias. During the discussion of Just World Phenomenon, examples were lacking to further explain, in more depth, about the actual bias. Curiosity was brought to my attention on the matter, wanting to comprehend the bias more thoroughly.
Structure gives your writings a base to stand on, and language is basically the four walls of the house. Just try it! Use good structure and language in your essays and at home and your teacher can’t help
In my first term here, at University of the People, one of my biggest issues was with conciseness; I was obsessed with clarity, but at a sacrifice of concise wording. I like to think that I have grown since then and that my papers and assignments reflect this, by getting to the point more quickly and
The patterns of organization that are most frequently used by writers are chronological order, spatial order, emphatic order, and causal order. The chronological order means to move through time, spatial order is moving from outside to inside, emphatic order is from least to most significant, and causal order is the effects to causes. These patterns may seem like they’re formals but they are not. They have become discourse conventions because they correlate with the natural thinking processes and they are versatile. The five-paragraph formula seems imperative and causes problems and it should be addressed by writing instructors at all levels and those who have created multiple strategies that share their
The importance of following directions the first time they are given is because your teacher can give you directions that are to save your life and if you don't listen you may end up dead if this was a life or death situation. If we follow directions the first time that they are given then we would be able to get through all or at least half of our lessons in one or two class periods. If we follow directions it make it easy and simple for the teacher and the students. The teacher just wants you to follow directions so that you can learn what you need to learn for your upcoming test because the directions that the teacher wants you to follow will help you later on in life. Following directions also helps you in an unpredicted situation like
When beginning English 1301, I did not know how to organize a paper effectively. I would start writing
The person I chose for this discussion is my husband Mike. I have yet to convince him to take the LCI, but I'm pretty confident of his patterns. I believe his Patterns are as following; Sequence 22, Precision 22, Technical Reasoning 30, Confluence 26. He uses Sequence as a Use as Needed Level, he likes order in a sense of making lists, or helping me budget, but for the most part he really chooses not to use this pattern in his daily routine. Precision he also uses as a Use as Needed Level, if there is a subject he thinks looks interesting, he will soak up information, especially if he feels it is something he knows he can use at a later date.
The documentary, “On the Way to School”, was filmed and released for public viewing in 2015. This documentary was filmed in four main locations: Kenya, Morocco, Argentina, and India. The person who produced the documentary was Pascal Plisson. Two groups that helped to film “On the Way to School” were UNESCO and the French NGO “Aide et Action”. The general purpose of the documentary were to inform the public the long, hardship-ridden journey that children in less wealthier countries must endure to receive an education.
For me at the time my purpose of thinking was to decide on how I should write my paper in time for the due date. I figured that I would be able to sit down
