Social media applications, such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Google Hangouts, LinkedIn has taken the world by storm. Social media has been a prevalent part of everyone in this modern era. A single social media application can have up to millions of members, where they share photos, messages, videos on daily basis. All generations, from young to old have embraced the changes social network brought along. Teenagers have faced the impact widely, as they are the enthusiastic users. A student may post inappropriate content such as pornography or foul language, whereby such content can be distracting also affecting students. In just a click, the information they have approved is visible to thousands or millions of people. This can tarnish the image of a student. Other than that, this impact can be long lasting. Nowadays, many companies, scholarship provider and even mother-in-laws are doing a background check measure before selecting a candidate. Cyber bullying is not limited to physical interaction and can occur anytime. Every person on social media, be it a child or a student from higher institute are exposed to cyber bullying. Hurtful messages targeting another student are part of cyber bullying. Cyber bullying leads to many negative impacts, such as emotional disturbance, fear, embarrassment and in some serious cases, even suicidal attempts.
