Introduction Malaysia is a country of many races and as a result they encounter many cases of racism on the internet, in the news and sometimes in their daily lives. This report is to highlight the negative impact of racism towards Malaysians and how they can prevent it from happening. 1.1) Research problem There has been a lot of cases reported on various media platforms regarding the subject of racism. Such an example can be found 2 years ago during the “Plaza Low Yat incident” (Sivalingam, 2015). This event brought on a lot of racial tension with Politicians quoting about the return of the May 13 1969 incident (Ahmad, 2007). 1.4) Benefits of Study The benefits of this study is to help the government and other NGO’s to identify a racist person in Malaysia and to also prevent future problems related to race or a culture group of certain people in Malaysia. 1.5) Limitations of Study The limitations of this study are that racism is a sensitive topic of discussion and many would avoid answering questions about racism to avoid being seen as a racist person. Questions had to be crafted in a way that are unbiased and very open in order for people to not get offended. In addition, certain Malaysians may not even know that they are racist or have tendencies to behave in a racist manner as they treat it as a joke. 1.6) Research question So with that said the question still remains, whether or not there are racist Malaysians in our nation and how would their unfavourable behaviour affect the people of Malaysia and will it be a problem for the nation in the future?
