Presently, Facebook is one of the largest social networking sites in the world. there has been tremendous growth in terms of evolution of Facebook. Day-by-day there is transformation in the way users are interacting or communicating, as audience turns out to be more active receivers rather than passive and creators of the content. Even web based technologies has turned out to be more socializing were they can get information shared and establish community formation etc. more than socializing even blogs, wikis, media sharing tools, network platform is also included along with social networking sites. mainly on two aspect this paper focused that is on the level of usage of social network sites among students and relationship between academic performance, health and security issues.
The researcher analyzed that result based on regression and correlation analysis; where there is negative effect for the scholars in usage of social network sites. the outcome of the study matches along with the review of literature. Where the maximum time spent in various social network sites, there is adverse affect in the academic performance.
