Employment Tourism in a country provides mass employment. Many developed countries depend on the Tourism Industry as the primary source of employment and income. Let’s take an example of United Arab Emirates, the 10.1% of jobs in UAE are of the Tourism Sector. It also creates as many as 684,000 jobs. (WTTC, 2015) Compared to all the sectors in the world tourism industry is one of the most rapid growing industry, It provides 9% of the GDP of the world and creates as many as 235 million jobs. The industry did lose the number of tourists in the crisis period of 2008 to 2009 by 4% then also the employment increased by 1% in those years. Tourism also known as hospitality industry has a few negative effects as well like it is a seasonal industry in many countries when the tourists are less the unemployment increases as it includes permanent and temporary workers. (Çakır, 2002) The rate of employment is expected to grow 3.8% annually. One in every eleven jobs is created by tourism globally. North Asia is the highest job creating part of the world in Tourism industry. The industry helps in creating many multiplier effects as all the sectors of this industry are interrelated which gives a major share in economic development of a country. Many countries are also shifting their primary industry to service economies from manufacturing economy. Tourism being a service economy the GDP share increases from the industry. In most of the country’s 50 jobs are created on every $1 Million invested in Tourism industry.
