In the past traditional family, the husband becomes the breadwinner of the family and the wife becomes homemakers and take care of the childrens. Now, the situation changed and the women needs to play the role to support the financial need of the family. The statics shows that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increases from 255 billion USD (2010) to 296.4 billion USD (2016) which causes the rise in global economy.(gdp-growth, n.d. ). Women need to work to overcome the financial stress in the family which cause by increase in cost of living. They share the expenses of the family with the husband to fulfill the financial commitments. Family income appears to be more strongly related to the children’s ability and achievement than to their emotional outcomes. (Brooks-Gunn,J. & Duncan,G.J . ,1997). Moreover, working mothers can provide safer and comfortable shelter for the children. Next, they can enhance learning opportunities in academic and extracurricular activities that makes their future bright. On the other hand, working mothers able to provide high nutritional food for mental and physical development of the children.The stay at home mothers unable to help the children financially. They need to depend fully on the father’s income.The income of one parent mostly not enough to give better and comfortable life for children. The timing of poverty also seems to be important for certain child outcomes. (Brooks-Gunn,J . & Duncan,G.J. ,2017)

2.2 Positive Implications

The children of working mothers will be more independent. They become more responsible for themselves because no one is there to take care of them. Besides that, they become less reliant towards their parents. Furthermore, they able to deal with their daily routines more effectively. The mother tries to make the children happy with less control in the short time that they spend together. The working mother has less attention to take care every single part of the children’s daily life, they may use whatever the way which can make them happy to fill their guilty of did not spend enough time for children. (Hawkes, 2007). Although the children are independent but they easily indulge themselves in drugs, alcohol and gambles due to less care from parents. Moreover, the less care of the mother causes the commit crime due to peer pressure.

3.0 Conclusion
In conclusion, mothers plays a vital role in childrens development.Working mother need to divide their time for work and childrens.The positive impacts on working mothers are they able provide financial security for the children and the children will be more independent while negative impacts are the child might face psychological problems and they will not have good self control.
