Introduction Rolihlahla Mandela better known as Nelson Mandela worldwide was born into the family known as madiba in a village called Myezo Transkei. He was born on July 18th, 1918. His mother name was Nonqaphi Nosekeni and father Nkosi Mphakanyiswa Gadla Mandela. His father was principle counselor of then acting king of Thembu tribe, Jongintaba Dalindyebo. Nelson Mandela became the ward of Jongintaba in Mqhekezweni in 1930, when his father died. He was only 12 years old then. From a very young age, Mandela was inspired by the stories of his ancestors’ bravery and courage. He always wanted to contribute for the freedom of his people and help them in their struggle. He is known for being a very famous civil rights activist. He fought for the social rights of people which include African Americans. He worked mainly between 1950s and 1060s for eliminating the racial differences across the globe. He wanted to resolve the differences based on color and race prevailing between the people. He always dreamed for a society free of social differences merely based on color of skin. He is very well known for his very famous speech “I have a dream”. There were several actions taken by Martin Luther one of which is when he led the boycott better known as Montgomery Bus Boycott. It was his first step towards the civil rights struggle. The start of this boycott dates back to when Rosa Parks didn’t get up from her seat in a bus for a white person. It was followed by the public boycott of using public transport. It remained in action for about an year during which Martin was also arrested by the police and he had to lose his house as it was destroyed. Martin left us on 4th April, 1968 when he was shot while he was in the balcony staying in his hotel. He was assassinated by James Earl
