She ended up taking me to the doctor and they declared that I was suffering from insomnia. There was no explanation, but I knew that I was still grieving my grandparents, it was the only way that I could; since no one would know that I would cry in the middle of the night. About a couple of months later, everything was beginning to go back to normal, I still do not have the courage to speak about my grandmother or grandfather without shedding a tear.

Once he found something he was good at, he became obsessed with winning, becoming something, and showing everyone that he wasn’t just some poor German kid. He wanted to prove to the bullies that he is better than them and he wanted to make them regret bullying him as a kid, he wanted to prove it to his mom that he could go to college and he would be okay, he wanted to show everyone that even though he is small he could still win, and to himself to never give up. When he set his mind, he never gave up and for that, I admire

The administrator ultimately banned the wearing of the confederate flag on school grounds nonetheless she admitted that she could not “ban it for eternity” (Hardie, 2013) and within months the students were back to wearing the flag. One of the teachers explained, “Our school’s, you know, real big, was real big into wearing the Confederate flag and they didn’t—I think it was lack of education or really understanding. My favorite teacher Mrs. Bosmeijer was the only person I could really talk to besides Mary but she got kicked out of the foster home and got sent to her dad, Because Our foster mom said she was touching me and my sisters but when in reality it was her older son and she knew that she didn 't stop him or tell the CPS workers who it really was. Without Mary everything was turned upside down she was the one that made sure we got fed when the foster mom wasn 't there and she made sure we got to school on time. I don 't remember much of the foster home besides when she hit us and other bad stuff .I don 't even remember when I got to go home i just know that it was right before i turned 9 that I got to go home. My older sister didn’t get to come home from her dad’s until she was 15. But yeah that 's the story of foster care.
