Many individuals’ love the advices that come with the impressive job title plus the potential pay rise that comes with the impressive job title as well. Also, to help provide a good comfortable, stable home for my future …show more content…
Honestly, I thought that domestic goddess was a good ego-inflating job title that sort of describes me because technically besides me being in College in hopes to earn my degree in Psychology very soon, I am a stay at home fiancé, however; I do take care of the house meaning I cook and clean. Plus, I take care of our Dog and we recently found out that we are expecting again so will be a stay-at-home-mommy for a little while after the baby is born if I don’t miscarry again. So, perhaps a Domestic care-taker or simply A-Stay-At-Home-Mommy would be a better example of an ego-inflating job title for me. Of course, I am a college student whom is currently a junior and I do plan on finishing my education and hope to graduate school soon. I also plan on getting my master’s degree, so I am not sure what ego-inflating job title would fit. Maybe, Knowledge builder or Roller Coaster Planner or on a funny note The Spaghetti O’s eater! Because, when it comes to College you are building knowledge in the career you want to pursue for the rest of your life and also College can be a Roller Coaster ride at times so it is best to plan accordingly right through the chaos. As for the funny note, College can be quite expensive and many college students tend to not eat the healthiest because it can be expensive when we have tuition and books
The power of persuasion is one of the most important characteristics to obtain, the president must be able to bargain with others who share power with him/her. This isn’t done with a withy or charming personality, the president must persuade by showing other politicians how can his interests can benefit theirs. Secondly, professional reputation is a factor that show how much people can believe in you. The president’s goal is make sure people in Congress, or his administration have secure confidence in him/her. Confidence in someone makes the person more trustworthy and received respect.
The president of the United States of America has few constitutional powers in foreign policy. First, the president has the power to negotiate treaties with other nations. Second, the president has the power to mediate disputes between other nations. Third, the president has the power to proclaim friendships with new governments. And finally, the president has the power to work covertly to undermine these friendships with those same governments.
John C. Calhoun John C. Calhoun (1782-1850), was a prominent U.S. statesman and spokesman for the slave-plantation system of the antebellum South. As a young congressman from South Carolina, he helped steer the United States into war with Great Britain and established the Second Bank of the United States. Calhoun went on to serve as U.S. secretary of war, vice president and briefly as secretary of state. As a longtime South Carolina senator, he opposed the Mexican-American War and the admission of California as a free state, and was renowned as a leading voice for those seeking to secure the institution of slavery. A nationalist at the outset of his political career, Calhoun was one of the leading War Hawks who maneuvered the unprepared United States into war with Great Britain in 1812.
Do you remember in kindergarten when the teacher would ask the class what they wanted to be when they grew up? The answers usually consisted of firemen, doctors, princesses, cowboys, or an astronaut. Then there was always the teacher’s pet who of course said they wanted to be a teacher (typical). Well college is a lot like kindergarten. Your advisor asks you,” what do you want to do with your life after college”, but this time the answers don’t come as easily.
Every president of the United States should reflect an impeccable character. George Washington was trustworthy and well respected among the citizens. John Adams, a founding father, even helped draft the Declaration of Independence. Occasionally, a president will be elected who lacks the appropriate behavior of a president, even though he can guide the people. Andrew Jackson was such a man.
On the other hand our president should not be a weak indecisive president either. If this were to be the case many countries would take advantage of the situation when they could, and this could lead to our own countries devastation. ( Scholastic.com,
I think the hardest part of being the first president would be to have the ability to be a good example and try to be impersonal. The president would have to be impersonal because if Washington only did things that benefited him or his fellow wealthy farmers then he would be seen as greedy. The president should be seen as someone understands that “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few” to quote James T. Kirk from Star Trek, which shows the perfect example of a great president. By being a good example, Washington shows what a good outline of a president is, instead of becoming like the British is being too overpowered; he would work with his fellow branches of government and come to an agreement on all decisions that would affect the future of the country. If the president did his best to present new laws and rules that would help the country grow and improve, instead of just helping the wealthy.
Being a candidate for the National Honor Society is a tremendous honor for me. Since I began high school, it has been a goal of mine to be a part of this amazing organization. Being involved in my school and community has always been important to me, and any chance I get to further my involvement is great. I believe that NHS is the perfect opportunity for me to serve others and help better our community. I understand that a member of NHS shows qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Critique of James Barber’s The Presidential Character: Predicting Performance in the White House Kristen Reicks Wartburg College February 14, 2023 When reading The Presidential Character, I saw a common theme: James Barber tried to implement various predicaments on how a president’s personality could impact his job at the White House. Patterns in personality from a person’s character, view of the world, and style were the overall themes that Barber examined in this book, although letting the readers understand these themes through scientific angles. I was hesitant to venture onward because of how he wanted to dissect past presidents’ personalities and what they achieved in Office.
As citizens we tend to elect our leaders, especially the president, based on promises, reputation, and life decisions. When voting for the next president of the Unites States we are simply voting for the person whose character we like best. Their promises and platforms reveal what they believe in and their statements and arguments reveal what they truly stand for. For the citizens of the Unites States character is a extremely important factor in determining who they vote for because character reveals the personality and beliefs of the president. However we must acknowledge that Presidents are also human and they make personal decision due to what they see best for them and not the rest of the country.
Throughout the essay, Charles Murray stresses the idea that college is the wonderland of finding oneself and to find the career that one would want to follow for the rest of their lives. “College is seen as the open sesame to a good job and a desirable way for adolescents to transition to adulthood. Neither reason is as persuasive as it first appears.” Murray, C (2008) Practically spoken, this is not normally the case. College is a fair amount of work, much more work than one would normally acquire through any course of a high school or secondary school setting.
My Responsibility to America In America, we are given freedoms and our basic human rights. To make sure these freedoms such as free speech are kept, we as Americans have responsibilities to America. Whether it be in our everyday lives serving in our community or special occasions when serving on a jury, Americans are held to these responsibilities to keep the United States to the standard that it always is. Our basic responsibilities are to pay taxes and vote in elections, however, they extend far greater than those.
College students go to school so they can pursue their careers in the future. This group of people are needed because without them, who is going to be the doctor, lawyer, journalist, or mechanic in
College students need to be fed with the right foods and nutrients. Imagine being hungry and having tons of homework to do or have to study for a major exam, it would be pretty hard. It would almost feel impossible to get focused and actually complete your homework assignment or finish studying for that test. You also won’t have a lot of energy because you’re body won’t have the right foods to help you maintain that positive energy. So many college students live off Ramen and honestly it’s not very good for you.
