If Nobody’s original name was in the story, it would just be excess information that did not need to be added. Bod needed a new name anyway to be safe from Jack, and the other name would not be used for the rest of the book. Neil Gaiman focused only on the most interesting information in the book so it would be continuously entertaining, suspenseful, and intriguing. The story is much better without Bod’s real name in it, because it creates a little bit more suspense, wondering what his old

Is it the Narrator’s fault that Doodle died? Is Doodle’s death the Narrator’s fault? That answer is yes. If the Narrator didn’t leave Doodle behind and stuck with Doodle and help him get through the storm Doodle wouldn’t have died. Furthermore if the Narrator wouldn’t of kept pushing Doodle to do things he wasn’t supposed to do and couldn’t do, the Narrator wouldn’t of took him out during the storm and Doodle would've never died.

In fact, it’s full of opposites.
Within the novel The Graveyard Book, there resides a grave tone. The book’s title itself is a giveaway on the general air the novel; the word graveyard is instantly associated with grief and loss, letting the reader predict the upcoming dark ride. In the opening scene of the novel, an ongoing murder is depicted; the orphaning of an innocent child casts a dark and tragic shadow on the rest of the novel. After Bod was brutally orphaned, he escaped to a graveyard, which he lived in; as cemeteries are associated with gloom and grief, this background made the novel dark and somber. Reading at the start of class for ten minutes has benefits that everyone can improve from. For me, I do not like reading in general and get distracted very easily. When reading I like the idea of the ten minutes everyday and that we do not have to take notes. The only reason I do not like it is because when I read I need to be in a room alone with no distractions at all, or else I will not understand what I read. I find that time goes very slowly when we read because of me not liking to read.
