I will be discussing whether or not is possible for animals to learn human language. There are many arguments about this specific topic, each person has their own opinion and view of whether they agree or not. I, however agree to the statement made. There will be a few examples made to further discuss my opinion about non -human and human communication and whether it is possible for animals to learn human language. What is no-human and human communication?
Many people think that communication, firstly, is about language, but it has a broader view to it. It is about the way humans communicate in a no-verbal

This best describes that animals can learn human language. Although it does not go far, animals are still able to learn language and continue their teachings further and better. They often take their researchers by surprise when they actually create more sequences by taking what they were taught and furthering it.
Conclusion
We see that not only can animals learn human language but they can take they words they learned and create sentences. They also improve their learning by using signs and sounds. Therefore I think that it is possible for animals to learn human language, understand and further their teachings in it. They are more than capable to adapt to it. They are often criticized by people thinking they cannot learn human language. They can surely do unexpected things, they are known to do the unexpected. References

Furthermore, the creature developed the same patterns as humans did. For instance, the creature says,”My days were spent in close attention, that I might more speedily master the language; and I may boast that I improved more rapidly than the Arabian, who understood very little and conversed in broken accents, whilst I comprehended and could imitate
The earliest forms of language were spoken around 250,000 years ago. Over the years, language has become more diverse. There have been more than 100,000 different languages spoken or written in our history. As you might expect, language is an essential part of our existence.
Nim was removed from his mother for a research project led by Professor Herbe Terrace. This project featured a radical experiment aimed to teach a chimpanzee sign language. Although, the documentary Project Nim (2011), directed by James Marsh, has an objective to present the progress and results of this experiment, it also carries a purpose to inform the viewer on a message regarding the components of and differences between communication and language. Marsh uses specific
As said by Lois Frazier, “Animals have a right to live without being confined, exploited, tormented, or eaten.” With the similarities animals have with humans, this right is something animals should possess, hence the animal-rights laws. Animals deserve to live in a comfortable environment just as humans do. However even with similar skills, just as Koko the gorilla has language skills, animals would not need them for survival the way humans do. Humans communicate through their own languages, but these languages may not be necessary for Koko.
According to “A Change of Heart about Animals” by Jeremy Rifkin, he mentions that “Koko, the 300-pound gorilla at the Gorilla Foundation in Northern California, who was taught sign language and has mastered more than 1,000 signs and understands several thousand English words” (61). This shows that animals are far more capable than what we imagine. Rifkin also claims that Scientists have found that geese teach their goslings their migration routes and that an orangutan from Atlanta Zoo, used a mirror to groom his teeth and fix his sunglasses. This shows that learning is passed on from parent to offspring and that animals may use their intelligence for their own purposes. Furthermore, many people believe that animals have no moralities or ethics and are unable to understand the notion of death.
For example, this is shown in the book, “The creature is standing with the family, the text bubbles show that the creature is understanding the words they are saying, and in the end poses with the family.” (Grimly, 99-100) The base of this argument is logically flawed - just because the creature wants to adapt to human life, it does not mean you can automatically consider it a human. For example, dogs may understand words like “treat”, but that has no change in the genetic makeup of that dog. Just like the creature tries to have human traits, it does not change anything about the creature’s actual
The creature learned language through the cottagers. He states, “I cannot describe the delight I felt when I learned appropriated to each of the sounds, and was able to pronounce them.” His learning of their language shows that he is trying to conform to their society. The creature also questions society when he tries to conform to society. The creature is angered when he makes an attempt at communicating with the cottagers as they attacked him.
The answer is an obvious, yes! As stated earlier, the learning development of a feral children who was raised by animals was based on the modeling of the animals involved. However, this case is not trivial for Genie because of the grave abuse and isolation. One theory proposed in Psychology was that young children can learn certain things, such as language, at a certain time, called the critical periods. In this light, it would have been impossible for Genie to learn any languages.
Scholars estimate that throughout the world as many as one to two endangered languages are lost to extinction on a bi-weekly basis. K. David Harrison states: “When a community loses its language, they really lose their history. They lose their connection to the past. They lose all the wisdom and knowledge that has been accumulated through the centuries about how to live in a sustainable manner on this planet” (“Native American Languages: Loss and Revitalization” 2). Human diversity is in no small part measured by the languages that we – as a species – speak.
To get Washoe to pay attention so the sign language rather than what we spoke, the Gardeners ask for the teachers to never speak while signing with Washoe. In other studies, the teachers would expose the chimps to spoken languages and the chimps would not pick up on the signs as much. The Gardeners method was proven to work, Washoe thrived in ASL. If she didn’t know a sign she would make one up, like “dirty good” for toilet. When Washoe was exposed to other chimps, she was able to teach them ASL to communicate with each
Communication is the process of transferring of information. Viswanathan (2010) says communication can take many forms of verbal and non-verbal methods which may include speaking, writing, gestures, expressions, listening and body language to name a few. All of these things should be taken into consideration to ensure an effective means of sending and receiving information. How and what information is sent may not be received in the same manner intended.
Victor often wishes to cope with deaths of William and Justine by committing suicide. “... I was tempted to plunge into the silent lake, that the waters might close over me and my calamities forever.” (Shelley, 78) He would often go to the lake after the rest of the family was asleep. The thought was leaving his wife and father exposed and unprotected prevents him from committing suicide .
We can not communicate with animals as Derrida talks about his little cat in his seminal essay The Animal That Therefore I Am and says there is no common language or a language we can understand animals. It is not like they say “mirr” to say no or “purr” to say yes. We differentiate animals and categorise them: dogs, cats, snakes, lions and many other. However we kind of categorise humans as well by their races, African, Asian and European, by their gender; male or female, by their preference of opposite sex; straight or gay and many other. So what is boundary we created between “animals and humans?
Samuel Langhorne Clemens, widely known as Mark Twain, is a writer, a journalist, an entrepreneur, a boat pilot, and a father. Samuel Clemens was born in Florida, Missouri on November 30, 1835, and died at the age of 74 on April 21, 1910; Halley’s comet passed by Earth the day he was born and died. Mark Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri, beside the Mississippi River, where he gets the background and experience he used to create some his most famous masterpiece.
It is true that all social animals communicate with each other, from bees and ants to wheels and apes, but only humans have developed a language which is more than set of prearranged signals. No doubt human speech differs in physical way from the communication of other animals. It is impossible to find out that when and how the special talent of language is developed, but it’s clear that its evolution must have been a long process to develop. Origin of language The origin of language is a huge debatable topic over the years.
