Jordan Brown was 11 when he shot and killed his dad's fiancee in 2009. She was pregnant at the time, so Brown was charged with double homicide. At the age of 17, Ryan Matthews was sentenced to death for the murder of convenience store owner, Tommy Vanhoose. Police failed to investigate on all evidence to convict the real killer, Rondell Love. Love shot Mr. Vanhoose four times and fled, taking off his mask and diving into the passenger side window of the getaway car. Hours after the crime, Ryan Watthews and associate, Travis Hayes (also 17) were stopped because the car they were driving in resembled the killers. A witness claimed that Ryan took part of the crime, others said he was too tall to be the suspect.
HORNELL (WENY) - Authorities have upgraded the charges against the Hornell man accused of killing an 18-month-old baby in November. After a Steuben County Grand Jury heard the case against 22-year-old Dakota Miller of Hornell, the charges against him were upgraded. Miller is accused of intentionally killing 18-month-old Ian Miniske-Huff on Nov. 25. Miller is now facing charges of aggravated murder, first and second degree murder and manslaughter. In January 2015 Conner Hanson was accused of shooting and killing 18 year old Anthony Gabriel. After the car chase led to the shooting and killing of Gabriel, Hanson is be on trial in adult court. Hason’s attorney told jurors that Gabriel was the aggressor and Hanson was just defending himself. Along with Gabriel in the vehicular was his 17 year old girlfriend and Hanson’s 6 month old baby girl. The Supreme Court of the United States of America in 2012 ruled that juveniles couldn’t be tried as juveniles and be sentenced to life without the possibility of bail, no matter how harsh the nature of the crime committed. Justice Elena Kagan argues that juveniles who commit crimes typically have a rough upbringing or unfortunate circumstances which cannot be controlled by the juvenile. She argues that if they are serving a life in prison without a chance of parole, it causes damage to them psychologically due to the lack of experiences. There are several Psychological theories that could contribute a path to delinquency. They include psychodynamic theory, the attachment theory, the moral development theory and the behavioral theory just to name a few. In researching information on Eric Smith, I believe he had several underlying issues that contributed to his violent senseless crime against a helpless little boy. I feel the lack of moral development was a huge factor that caused this youth to explode. Eric Smith was 13 years old, in 1993, when he murdered Derrick Robie, a 4-year-old little boy.

With that being said I will talk about a juvenile who raped and murdered two young girls and two young boys who shoot up their high school. Their physical attraction was immediate and intense, and two hours later the couple had sex in one of the hotel’s rooms.
In Philadelphia a man by the name Delvin Barnes kidnapped women off the streets a month before he allegedly hit a teen girl with a shovel and stuffed her in the back of the trunk of a car. Barnes is a 37 year old man he was tracked down by a GPS that police used in his car. Barnes was to appear in court for the alleged Philly kidnapping but he made a detour to Virginia and faces another charge there for another allege kidnapping. The kidnappings being a month apart and 275 miles away it is said that have some similarities.
