My professional goal is to pursue a Doctor of Nurse Practice degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This would give me the opportunity to serve the underserved population and the less privileged, which is a burning desire and one of my personal goals. With this degree, I will be a vital asset in the efforts of providing resolutions concerning healthcare and its numerous challenges. My decision to become a nurse was inspired by the nursing professional code of ethics, which corresponds with my own personal beliefs.
Scholastica with my RN, I will find the healthcare facility that I will call my home. I would like to work in the pediatrics or obstetrics part of a healthcare facility, and treat all of my patients with the utmost of care. I will make a special connection with each one of them, and show them compassion and respect. The career goal that I have, is to become the best nurse that I can be. I want to make an impact on each patient’s life, and to try and influence them to follow their dreams, and to care for their health.
As several of the individuals who decide to develop a career in the healthcare field, my desire of becoming a nurse comes from past experiences which have made me appreciate the field and its merits. Being raised in a single parent household gave me the responsibility and effectiveness of dealing with difficult situations. Qualifications that are expected to be acquired as nurse and I hope to attain much more as a student of the College of Nursing’s Program. For instance, one of my career goals is to obtain core abilities required for a Master’s of Science Degree in Nurse Anesthesia, the second is to dedicate myself to lifelong learning, and the third is to contribute back to the community. Integrating theories of nursing, applying leadership and management strategies, integrating research and evidence based practice, influences of the health care policy and regulatory environment, collaborating with health care professionals, participating in professional activities, using technologies, being innovative, and adapting various decision strategies are needed to provide culturally competent care for individuals, families, and communities. I first acknowledged the importance of healthcare and my desire to study nursing years ago when I started working at a medical clinic. Although I spent most of my time filing patients’ notes and other documents, I learned a lot by listening. This simple act had a complementary effect that enhanced my strategic-thinking skills and my ability to communicate. By working alongside nurses and practitioners, I discovered that with these acquired listening skills and the appropriate medical training, I could be a successful nurse.

Introduction The course NURS 4102 Coordinating Nursing Practice offers a chance for me to learn how to corporate and apply nursing theories and knowledge learnt into real nursing practice. A variety of useful and practical knowledge for nursing practice were delivered by different lecturers and guest speakers. For example the leadership and management skills, theories and application in nursing and also resource, risk and crisis management in daily nursing practice. These knowledge prepared professional development for my future career as being a competent nurse.

For years now, I have been looking at pursuing a career in nursing. Over these years I concluded that I would like to specialize in pediatric nursing with my bachelors of science in Nursing. These specific types of nurses specialize in the care of children for 0 months to late teens. While also engaging in tasks such as performing exams, measuring vital signs, taking blood pressure and urine samples, and ordering needed tests. While that’s the tasks pediatric nurses have there are many more aspects and ways to attain this career.
There are many people who find it more satisfying to enhance the lives and to help other. People with same deliberation can become a certified nursing assistant and can start a new career. This will open the new future doors for you. To become a nursing assistant, you need a few weeks training and after that training you will be writing a certification exam. Once you have passed the exam, you will get the certificate.

My mother rushed me to the hospital because this wasn’t an ordinary cut, we got to the hospital I was frantically fussing until nurse Judy puts me at ease with a sucker.
