DIFFERENT THEORIES USED IN NURSING CONT’D
The main objective in Parse’s Theory, allows each individual to work together with the internal and the external environment.
Each individual is unique that creates patterns, (habits, coping behaviors) within themselves and the environment they live in.
The nurses role is to be actively present to listen , when patients needed to voice their concerns and fears.
This theory states that the individual, and the main objective is caring and promoting wellness, than illness.
According to Parse, Health is a process of being a unique person who had experience.

1.When I think of Nursing, I see it as part of the health care institution providing a venue through which people of social and personal conscious may engage humanity to effect positive,concrete, growth and change. There are many aspects to nursing which define and guide it. For me, I
These viewpoints have importance for medicine as well as for nursing or other health professions. The complete practice of human caring theory is most fully realized in a nursing theory because nursing allows for the constant caring factor that medicine does not have;
1. What does health mean to you? Health to me refers to someone’s physical and mental well-being. It is more than just the absence of any disease or illness.
Philosophy of Nursing Everyone’s values and beliefs about the profession of nursing are all different. The four concepts of nursing are interrelated and all mean something different to every person, too. Throughout this paper, I will be reflecting on my values and beliefs about nursing through the four concepts while comparing them to a nursing theorist with views that are most similar to my own.
Caring for The Individual: An Examination of Personal Nursing Philosophy Arianna Mailloux 400164224 NURSING 2AA3 Ashley Collins Harris February 19, 2018 As a novice nurse, developing and understanding of ones’ own personal feelings about nursing is important to help shape your clinical practice. Within this paper I will examine my personal assumptions, beliefs and values of the four nursing paradigms to develop a personal philosophy of nursing. This philosophy will be aligned with a known nursing theory and the comparisons will be discussed. Section I: Personal Philosophy of Nursing Person
My personal philosophy of nursing seeks to incorporate the art of conveying nursing science holistically with care and human dignity. The four nursing metaparadigm concepts are described in relation to nursing as a science and an art and provide the base upon which my view of nursing and my personal philosophy are derived. As a nursing student at UIC, I am well aware of the fact that the best outcome for any patient may not be improvement in health, but rather, a dignified death during the end of life care. End of life care includes a significant quality in care and human dignity.
My Personal Philosophy and Values of Nursing Nursing is proving care, support, and serve people who are in need. The purpose of nursing is to improve patient 's health condition to a better life. The goal of this paper is to explain my personal philosophy and clarify some of my values of nursing. Personal Philosophy
It is created through analysis of research and construction of concepts and theories (Busso, Poles, & Monteiro da Cruz, 2014). Concept analysis serve a purpose within theory development as it represents continuation of knowledge in nursing profession. When theories and concepts are developed, it must be practiced in a clinical setting to validate research. The caring concept applies to Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring as it creates an environment for healing, bonding, and improving patient outcomes. The concept of caring depicts the attitude of the nurse and the inclination given to meet the needs of the patient from emotional or physical standpoints (Emerson, 2017).

The Purpose of The Theory The purpose of Henderson’s theory is to give the principles that help construct practice and to generate further nursing knowledge. Considering doing so, it helps nurses to understand their purpose and role in nursing in the healthcare setting. Henderson believes that the unique function of the nurse is to help the person sick or well, in the performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (to a peaceful death) that he would do unaided if he had the strength, will or knowledge.
Nursing theories have an impact on nursing practice as they
Human development happens continuously throughout ones lifespan as we develop and change. Genes exemplify biological factors in human development. Some biological factors are visible, for example skin tone and hair color. Some biological factors are unobserved, for instance genetic abnormalities and risks for diseases. From a biopsychosocial perspective what one becomes is the product of genes, or biological forces.

Helps in explaining how things are thought to be like they are basing on a matter at hand. Theories provides complex and comprehensive conceptual understanding of things that could be pinned down now societies work and why people interact in certain ways. CURRENT RESEARCH APPLICATION TO THE CURRENT JOB Theories are important to nursing since they help us understanding some certain concept and explain why things are the way they are .They give knowledge data that could be helpful in day to day activities at work and help in the research conducted around . 1.
When exploring what is health, it looks at the idea of an individual being free from illness or injuries (World Health Organization 1948). WHO further explains that it is the state of complete: physical, mental, and social well-being and not the absence of disease or infirmity (health context, 2018) In 1986 during Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, WHO said health is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living, also is a positive concept emphasizing social, personal resources, and physical capacities. There are different aspects that contribute and impact a person’s health such as their: family and friends, education or job, body, spirit and mind, and all these need to balance to ensure good health (health context, 2018).
