Hello Professor Rode, and class. Overall, I would like to say that this class has been pleasant and a learning experience towards the career I want to fulfill in becoming a Clinician-Registered Dietitian. My favorite course assignment for this term was unit five, because I was able to research and learn the most out of that assignment about Nutrient Analysis databases and programs that are out there. I believe, that I can take that resourceful information and utilize it in both my professional career and personal. In my opinion, all assignments had their own challenges to face, but I would say that the most challenging one was unit nine, clearly because of it 's overall worth in grade and specific expectations to assessing a client
My name is Riley Rieck and I recently enrolled in your class. I did this because my other class (Bio150) was not a necessary science class to get a business major and was only for students looking at a science major. If you feel we need to meet and talk about the materials I missed I would be happy to. I also want to mention that the Bio126 lab will not fit into my schedule. So will that have and affect on me in this class?
Nutritional Science 203 Assignment 2 1. Choose a micronutrient or a macro-mineral that you would like to learn more about and why (2 points). The macro-mineral that I am interested in learning about is calcium because the body does not produce calcium, so we have to obtain it from food sources. However, being lactose intolerant makes me vulnerable to have lower calcium intake than the average recommended, which is why I compensate that by taking calcium supplements.
The Remix Project was the assignment that I feel we were given the most freedom with. The directions were simple; create a video that helps you become more aware of the rhetorical choices you make. We were allowed to adopt pieces from our previous papers in order to complete this task. What did each project teach us, who was our audience in each piece, and what rhetorical devices were used were the kinds of questions we pondered. One of the most important questions we asked ourselves was how did the pieces we composed fit together.
The hardest part was the research paper. The research paper was very stressful and frustrating in the beginning because I had no idea what my thesis statement would be. After I job shadowed and came up with my thesis statement, the paper was pretty easy. The rewarding part of the project was making an A on my research paper and other parts of the project. I learned that time management was the key when doing the Capstone Project.
The topic does still interest me and I will continue to research what works and what doesn’t until I figure it out for me. Then maybe I can pass my plan along and it will be what works for someone else. Currently, I am working on the diet aspect of losing weight and what different ratios of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats assist in losing weight. I would really like to know more about how the chemistry of the body changes when you eat different foods Reflect upon the research skills you have developed throughout this class.
In my opinion, that was one of the most difficult
Overall, I believe the assignments were a glimpse into what to expect in later semesters, especially with how overbearing tasks will be especially in my
I finally landed a Diet Tech position, which has provided a wealth of knowledge in the area of clinical nutrition. While working in the clinical setting, I have discovered my love for medical nutrition therapy. Here, I feel that I truly contribute to a piece of the puzzle in helping a patient achieve or meet their health goals. This gives me validation to why I chose to become a nutrition professional and someday, a
13 Ways to Look at a Blackbird was the most confusing. I could not wrap my head around it for the life of me because just about everything he had put down made as much sense at a black hole, so with an example like that trying to figure out what I was doing with the poem just made me angry and very frustrated. My poem didn’t come out that bad though after I just winged it and went with what felt right. One thing I got out of this unit is word play and complex sentence structures to confuse people and gives me that little enjoyment of leaving them with a bit of
The toughest essay assignment I did was the Unit Four Rhetorical Analysis essay, which was more than just analyzing. There were a lot of things that needed to be covered in order to complete the needed criteria for the essay. Even though I thought I did a good job writing the Rhetorical Analysis essay, it turned out to be the opposite. The one thing that I liked about this process was that it was different than what I am used to, and it opened my mind to writing differently. In writing these essays, a person has to be precise and careful about what they decide to write about.
Over the course of that semester we struggled with some of the more challenging concepts
My goal is to get a B in that class and I am very confident I can achieve that. 3. I think I should be able to handle the workload this semester well. It’s pretty much what I was expecting when I decide to attend college. 4.
My job was to lead others through the course. This was not an easy task. The various clients I experienced tested my leadership. This test started on the first day on the job where I led an autistic man through the course. I had to use my flexibility to adapt to the challenges presented that day and overcame the adversity faced to help the

Some answers may be a single word, but for more detailed responses, keep you answer to 3 sentences or less. What is the electron donor of an organism growing chemorganotrophically? Through this food diary assignment, I have learned that I have a somewhat healthy diet, but it would be good for me to add some more nutritious foods to my diet. Through this analysis, I will discuss the ranges and limits of specific nutrients, and what my average levels were for the two days that I recorded for this assignment. According to my nutrient intake reports, my intake of calories, fiber, and cholesterol were all under or at the target value. The target value of calories is 2000 while my average value was only 1271 calories.
