When in grade school, you learn about the three things that are essential living: food, water, and shelter. And none of these essentials fix in the category of being a right. Americans should not be afraid that if they lose their jobs or get another job then they will lose their health insurances. The poorest people are unable to pay payment that comes from hospital services, or even just a basic check-up. People that don't insurances are most of the time in worse health than those that are able to get insurance. And are more frequently put into the hospital for conditions that could have been prevented. We have the right to vote but not healthcare. Americans support the belief that everyone should have equal opportunity. But in this situation those that don't have health care are at risk for health decline which makes them a disadvantage in society, therefore, they did not receive equal opportunity. Health care is a basic human right. Everyone thinks it is just the poor or elderly who need healthcare, but it's also the young. Thanks to Obamacare, no one is no longer being opt out of the system.

Before Obamacare, we were allowed to shop for health care plans in other states. When Obama put Obamacare in place, the law took that ability away from the citizens. Obamacare and medicare should be repealed. There are many damaging factors about Obamacare. Because now you can be fined if you do not have insurance. It has made our taxes go up especially for the wealthy. It is making people lose their jobs and hours because businesses are cutting the worker hours to avoid covering the extra cost of employees insurance.

Governor John Bel Edwards of Louisiana enacted an executive order on January 14 to expand Medicaid through Obamacare in the state. The order will be effective July 1, 2016.

With the 2016 election passing just a mere month ago, we have all had our fair share of politics. And without a doubt, if you watched any of the debates, you heard about the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare. For example there is a town with ten houses, and, on average, one house a year burns down. If no one in the town pays for insurance they have a 10% chance of their house burning down each year. If everyone in the town pays insurance they spread the risk because no matter whose house burns down no one will have to pay anything as the insurance company will cover the cost of the house that burns down each year and make a slight profit. Moral hazard is the concept in health care that says that once someone has insurance they will overuse it and abuse health coverage.
