In world; obesity & health care is one of the biggest issue, which is ascending day by day globally. Obesity is a condition of excessive body fat deposition, which is also called a disease which has side effects on our body due to our faulty lifestyles & dietary habits.
According to study, in 1980 there were 250 million people were obese and in 2008 there are 904 million people are obese. It shows that it had been increasing day by day, though it is a preventable. It has side effects such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obstructive sleep apnea, hypothyroidism, osteoarthritis, acid peptic diseases, cancers, infertility, stroke etc. Obesity occurs due to several reasons such as genetic, metabolic, psychological factors like eating junk food, food eating habits, alcohol, lack of exercise; behavior like sedentary lifestyle, side effect of drugs such as steroids, antidepressants, oral contraceptive pills and much more, cultural and socio-economic factors. …show more content…

In U.S. more than one-third adults have obesity, which is about 36.5% people. In addition among middle age has the highest ratio of obesity. According to statistics, there are 35% of women and 31% of men are considered seriously overweight. They also found out that individuals with lower income and education levels are excessively more likely to be obese. More than 33% of adults who earn less than $15,000 per year are obese, compared with 24.6% of those who earned at least $50,000 per year. The estimated annual medical cost of obesity & chronic diseases in the U.S. is about $147 billion to $210 billion per year. Besides this government encourage people for adopting healthy lifestyle since childhood.
