For the observational aspect in the assignment, I attended the Georgia Apple Festival in Ellijay, GA, an annual celebration that takes place for two weekends in October for over 45 years now. Hundreds of vendors set up at the Lion's Club Fairgrounds to sell arts, crafts, and food for all in attendance; for the children there are plenty of activities including a rock-climbing wall, a bungee zipline, and a train that rides around the entire festival. Other events held during these two weeks in Ellijay include an Apple Festival Parade, an Apple Classic Auto Show, an Apple Pie Recipe Contest, and an Apple Queen Pageant.
