The occupational English Test (commonly known as OET) is an internationally recognized English language test for the healthcare sector. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals and evaluates them with emphasis on communication in health sector.

OET is mainly suitable for aspirants who seek to register and practice in English Speaking surroundings. It is available for many professions like- “dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, veterinary science and many more”. Skills Tested

The OET tests listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. However, candidate does not have to sit all four sections of the test. This is useful because some countries or accepting institutions may not require all four skills to be tests, if candidate needs to re-sit a section of the course, he/she needs to pay for that particular section –candidate does not need to take the complete test again.
