A hero is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements or noble qualities. In the movie, Odysseus shows that he is a hero by showing off his bravery and courage to defeat several monsters. He showed courage when he faced the Cyclops, when he met Lotus Eaters, and when he went back to Ithaca to see his wife. Odysseus and his men went to the cave to show the Cyclops that they are better than him. The Cyclops got angry when he got back to his cave since Odysseus and his men were eating the Cyclops’ food.
Like the end of the video, Odysseus got kill by Cyclops’s father. Otherwise than both medias showed that Odysseus has strong intelligence, strategy, and leadership during the escape. Odysseus is the symbol of intelligent in the story. He considered more perfectly and thoughtful than his colleagues. Both text and video demon that Odysseus and his crews were going to landed on a secret island and find out the truth of it, but they accidentally got attract into a monster's cave and got beset with crisis.
Odysseus' Journey Sailing around every corner of the world, Odysseus shows off his heroic abilities as he battles monsters and makes decisive decisions in The Odyssey. The epic poem which contains the story of Odysseus was written by Homer called, The Odyssey. The this epic poem, Homer talks about Odysseus' journey across the world as he tries to find his way home to Ithaca. However, as he was cursed by the gods, he faces many obstacles such as fighting monsters. In the end, Odysseus shows that he's a hero by being brave, fighting through the gods' curse, and never giving up on your goals just like the modern day hero, Bethany Hamilton.

Through his use of irony, Connell reveals how a person can become what he or she looks down upon. Connell exhibits how people ignore problems that don’t affect them, like how Rainsford pushed aside the fact that he was killing living animals. Odysseus is in between. Odysseus is a hero because he has saved many of his men from the Cyclops and tried to save as many as he can. In The Odyssey, the Cyclops was eating Odysseus men, Odysseus gave him a bunch of wine to drink and then got him drunk, later that night Odysseus stabbed him in the eye and the Cyclops went blind. This shows that Odysseus is a hero because if he never stabbed him or got him drunk, he would eat them all. Also in The Odyssey, after the Cyclops being stabbed in the eye, Odysseus and his men hid under sheep to escape the cave of the Cyclops.
While his men were being caged by the Cyclops, Odysseus re-introduces his cunning nature with the strategic plan he devised in order to free his men. His plan on taking a “ beam / and spin[ing] it in the Cyclops’ eye… [once] sleep [has over come]
The Long Journey Home Odysseus getting trapped on an island, getting some of his men eaten by a monster, and having all of his men killed was a very tough journey to encounter. But a journey like that can change a person, to do better and be better. Arthur Ashe stated, “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome”. In the Odyssey, Homer uses Odysseus’s journey to show that one’s journey can change them as a person.
In the epic poem The Odyssey by Homer, Odysseus was a very strong leader based on the decisions he made with his crew when he was with the cyclops, with Circe, with the sun gods cattle, and with the sirens. First when the crew was in the cyclops’ cave, Odysseus decided not to kill the cyclops right away, but instead make a plan in order to be able to escape. Odysseus made a very good decision that would let all his men, not just him escape, when he decided to blind the cyclops and force him to move the boulder, letting them escape. With Circe Odysseus did make some bad decisions, but overall in the end he made the right choice. First he was lured into the witch’s house, intending to get his men back, but stayed there 5 years when he decided to party.
By only taking his best men and leaving the others behind on the ship indirectly shows Odysseus’s wisdom. On the island they hide in a cave, but get trapped inside by a Cyclops, which causes Odysseus to formulate a plan to escape, “I hewed again to make a stake with pointed end. I held this in the fire’s heart and turned it, toughening it” (Homer 568). While the Cyclops is sleeping Odysseus and four of his remaining men stab the monster in the eye and later escape due to him being blind. The plot
