Zombicon, a Fort Myers charity event on its 9th year ended with 1 man dead, identified as Tyrell Taylor, and 5 others injured after shots were fired into a crowd of people. October 17th had started like any other Saturday, until 4pm when the Zombies started to roll into the street. It's suspected that the shooter may have found a way to sneak the gun into the festival, despite a police pat down at every entrance. The Fort Myers police have been searching for the shooter since Sunday morning and have come up dry. It's caused such dismay on social media that the FBI has even offered their services to help create peace for those that feel uneasy about the situation at hand.

She is the only surviving member and is being held on trial for what happened over the past seven years. The crimes the group committed include the murder of ten people, two bomb attacks, 15 bank robberies and the destruction of evidence of arson. People came from all over to celebrate the many nights of the festa (Orsi). The festa began July 16th and went on for hours and hours for about a week (Orsi). People offered gifts and prayers to the Madonna throughout the festa. The streets of the festa were swimming with barefoot immigrants huddled in the July heat in front of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the smell of delicious food, and giant artifacts like tall candles and a large decorated float (Orsi). The street festival was a way they could share their culture with others in it.
The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. This is a place where one can go to experience shows, art, food, and see livestock from all around the country. Most people however, go to this fair simply to have fun. On my visit to the Iowa State Fair in the previous summer, tasting all of the different foods, quality of the rides and the positive attitude from the carnival workers highly encourages me to come back year after year.

Even the London News found the riot appalling by and published a depiction of the destruction that occurred. Few other than

An example of this would be when Tom breaks Myrtle’s nose after he has been drinking all day and she repeats daisy’s name over and over. (Fitzgerald pg 37). In this same sequence of the story the narrator gets himself drunk for the second time in his life after being pressured into drinking by Tom and his group. Another instance where we see a character's attitude change under the influence of alcohol is the scene in which Daisy is shown to be drunk and crying over a note the night before her wedding. The note is presumably written by Gatsby and in her drunken state her feelings for Gatsby are exposed.
