He will always have really long talks with me. Most of the time he asks me if something is wrong or if there is anything going on. Some of the longest ones we have are just about life. Mainly my school life. At school I guess you can say I get bullied. Or at least picked on a lot. Although I do not enjoy talking to him about those problems, he eventually gets them out of me. He has taught me to be hard headed. One of the biggest things he says is to not give into the bullies at school. To let them know I do not care about anything they say. He continues to tell me to never give in to the bad things in life. The main reason is that it is not worth it. The things that make me angry are the things that are not worth it. Anger is easy, it is easy to be angry. The thing is that anger is cheap, therefore not worth it. He has always taught me to look at the bright side of things. Most of all he is always there when I need him. Through all of the good times and bad times, I know that he will always be there.

Summer Reading Essay: The Color of Water James McBride turned out to be a very good man although his outside influences growing up would encourage the opposite. Growing up with more than one father figure in his life and many older brothers and sisters sent his life spiraling out of control but eventually came to a calm and quiet hault. A father is someone who is supposed to teach his son to be a man; not every man has the same beliefs or teaching, so having many different views in and out James’ life was probably hard to balance. The many men that took on the role of his father as he went through life had major effects on him and made him who he is today.
He even helps me with many things, like problems at school or just protecting me when something is going on. Yet, his childhood wasn 't all that great, as he struggled. Back then, before I was born and dad was a child, he was an introvert, and that was the biggest mistake of his life, as he did not go outside. Like I said, he was like me.
He really made me change the way I did think about school and life. He is the perfect example of a high school teacher that goes the extra mile for a student. He is part of the reason why I am the way I am. He helped create Aaron Berry, the student/athlete leader of Euclid high

I already missed his genuine kindness, the way his smile formed whenever he talked to me about life, and the times where we had father-son time at the airport, watching airplanes fly.

If it was not for him; I probably would not have come out of my shell. My grandfather taught me the importance of family. He reminded that this may be the only opportunity I may actually experience the idea of being with family. I listened to him and being in Ecuador taught me my true identity; going to Ecuador taught me what it meant to be with family. When I got back to the U.S, and a few months have passed by.

I have had, in my life, many people that have made a huge difference. If someone changes your entire life or your outlook on it, you can definitely testify to the power of one. I think someone that can reach out to just one person 's life is just as important as someone who can change the lives of millions. In addition, one thing that I think is very important to note is that, in recognizing the power of one person to make a difference, to change the world, we must also note the contributions of others to help put that person where they are. Martin Luther King, leader of the

In one person’s life, there can be many changes. Some of them are small and do not have a very big effect on your life. However, other events are very important and can completely change a person’s life, such as moving to a new country, joining the military, getting married, or buying a house. Two of the events that have changed my life the most was moving to the United States and the joining the military. When I first arrived in the United States, I was only twelve years old.
He also taught me to stay motivated no matter how many times I wanted to give up because of my mistakes. I remember the day like it was yesterday even though it was eighteen years ago.
