If a company were to only use online recruiting, I would be less attracted to them. With technology growing at a faster pace then it ever has, some companies have a majority of their hiring practices completed online. These companies have applications that are filled out and submitted online. There are also some companies that hold phone call interviews or a type of video chat. This can be time saving for both the company and the person conducting the interview, but we are further pushing ourselves away from face-to-face interaction when these types of interviews are held. I can understand some of the process being completed online, but I personally would not want to be hired based on an online interview alone. A lot can be learned about others when they are face to face. Body language cannot be fully seen during an online interview. If the person in the interview were to put their hands under the table or kick their legs under their chair, the person conducting the interview could possibly never see this. These could be signs that the person is nervous or not telling the truth about the question that was asked. For those people who are more introverted, they would probably be much more comfortable with an interview that is conducted online. They would more than likely be in the comfort of their own house or apartment. They would be more apt to be nervous during an in-person interview. The opposite would apply to someone who is more extroverted. They would probably be
