Based on the data in their study, they acknowledged the need to include oral communication as a significant part of undergraduates preparation for the workplace. Crossling and Ward (2002) also connected that formal presentations skills taught at universities are inadequate for business graduates workplace communication preparation. The data from their study also showed that graduates were involved in oral communication mostly with the personnel within the same department, and had less communication with different departments within the company or with those outside the company. For example, the Human Resource department should conduct a study to identify their staffs’ ability communicate in English and know which area they familiar to speak in English. The employers should forfeit the orthodox culture that they only concern on their staff ability using English orally during the recruitment process, meeting, promotions and formal events.
