Have you ever wondered how many chemical substances you introduce to your body every day? Well, nowadays our society is consuming more and more chemical substances through many types of food. Fast food is causing millions of diseases like overweight, different types of cancer, diabetes, blood pressure and others severe diseases.

Human beings, since babies to adults, are suffering from this tremendous chaos, we are told that many cereals, vitamins, packed food, etc., are healthy for people but that is not true. There is more probability of sickness than 10 years ago and that is a consequence of our bad nutrition, many people don’t even care about what they consume every day and they are probably consuming almost plastic, petroleum,

But, what is organic food? Is the one that doesn’t pass through any chemical process in its elaboration. Organic food is grown and cultivated without any artificial substance, such as preservatives, sweeteners, hormones, antibiotics, coloring, flavoring and GMOs (genetically modified organisms) (Brown, 2016). It has to be free of these substances in order to be an “organic” product (Brown, 2016). Farmers usually use fertilizers, but they are natural, so they help to improve the agriculture and to get a better crop (Brown, 2016). As it was previously mentioned, many diseases are a consequence of our nutrition; the sugar food has, fertilizers, conservatives, hormones, etc. According to Benard (2017), “healthy living not only makes you feel good, but it can keep you from experiencing many diseases and health conditions. Obtaining adequate nutrition is an essential part of living a healthy life”.
People are getting sicker every day, even children. Currently, children are the most affected ones, despite their age; children weren´t taught to eat healthy and they are accustomed to consume fast food every day. Our society is changing, the world is changing and there is no time to prepare any kind of food, so people prefer to buy some fast food and that is a problem that can lead to many several diseases.
The most common diseases due to the bad nutrition are: diabetes, cancer, anemia, hypertension, coronary heart disease, osteomalacia / rickets and the most two common ones: obesity and overweight (Benard, 2017). According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (2016), “obesity occurs over time when you eat more calories than you use”and “obesity means having too much body fat”.
