“It is a commitment to the residence of Holmes County to bring history direct to them in their community,” he said, promising a “fascinating evening of history, sharing and fun.” By getting into the county's smaller communities, he said, the society is fulfilling its mission of educational outreach, while helping to make richer its own historical records thanks to the sharing of stories by the public. “The fun part is opening it up to discussion among people who may not otherwise travel to us. And, it helps us build our archives on that community. It's a two-way street,” he said. A surprise awaits the first 200 people through the doors,” said Boley, hinting, “You will be able to take home a bit of Glenmont history.” Summer programming will continue on Aug. 18 with the fourth installment of the popular “Unusual and Mysterious” series. To be held at 7 p.m. in the West Holmes Middle School Little Theater, discussion topics will include the Murray Tunnel and the Glenmont Monkey

Here at the Saratoga Springs chapter of NHS, we place tremendous value in the efforts of individuals to not only make a difference that they wish to see but also inspire others to do the same. With this in mind, it is my pleasure to introduce our guest speaker, Mr. Dave Brown. A graduate of Le Moyne University, Mr. Brown has become one of the most respected and highly regarded members of our Saratoga Springs Community. Whether teaching about his favorite President, James K. Polk, or dauntlessly leading his girls volleyball team into a sectional match, I have never failed to see Mr. Brown give less than one hundred percent. In my experience in his United States History course, I saw Mr. Brown’s ability to connect with each of his students.
Robinson? Cabarrus County Schools buses students from downtown Concord to the school, while some students living around the school are forced to go to other schools in the school district. This creates a diverse cultural environment at Jay M. Robinson, and a fair amount of problems. Winchester has had to change her seating chart at three various points throughout the first eight weeks of the school year, saying the students are not very good at staying on task if they are grouped near people they know and that there has been a few situations where racial differences has resulted in verbal confrontation. However, that is where the racial differences really end.

CRR #8 Observations: In the reading Our Town by Thornton Wilder, the stage manager uses humor to announce the intermission and goes on to say that three years have passed in the beginning of act two. One detail that stood out was that nothing seemed to change everything stayed the same except that Si Crowell is delivering the paper now like his brothers before him. We did not see much of Emily and George in act 1 and now they are getting married in act 2 this gives me a sense of how much time has passed.

Also some representatives of the Village were going to go check out the Kelly Miller Circus performing in
