Mom: She’s the type of mom that’s chill but if anybody does anything wrong she’s on top of your head. She wants the best from you. Dad: He’s a guy that, doesn't like to listen to what other people has to say when it comes to his health. But is always there for you. JB: He’s better at basketball than his twin brother. He’s a bit cocky because he knows he’s better than everyone. But he also gets jealous when his brother finds the “ love of his life”

Their dad used to play in the NBA. Throughout the story, JB and his brother learned that it’s not always about winning. JB and his brother wanted to get better at basketball and so did their dad. Dad used to play for the lakers but his season ended early due to an injury. Mom wants dad to take care of himself and so does his sons but he doesn't listen and kind of lets go of his health. Something big happens and it makes the family rethink what the priorities are. Jb and Jordan learn that winning isn't everything.
To conclude, The crossover by Kwame Alexander is about twin boys who learn that winning isn't everything. As a family something happens to them and it makes them rethink what’s important and what’s not. Mom is cool but is in your head about the little things. Dad loves his family but loses track of his health. JB is better at basketball but he is also the jealous type. It all starts, after Dave, and Mark, finish college, and began to suffer financially. They later result in side hustles, and coaches jobs. They eventually receive a phone call, from John du Pont, as he offers them a coaching job at his wrestling facility and housings, as we as living fees, all of which are covered and take place in FoxCatcher Farms, Pennsylvania. They brothers take the jobs, and take there “later” families to live fulltime on this absurdly large property. All of this, is after they meet Dupont.

The movie Hoop Dreams traced a poor young talented African American, named Arthur Agee from grade eight to college. Arthur hoped to play professional basketball in the future to help his family to escape poverty. Despite the fact that his family is poor, and the neighborhood he lived in, were disadvantaged to him to pursue his goal in many ways. Firstly, Arthur showed great determination to play professional basketball, and he would like to lead his family out of poverty. Secondly, his ability to adapt to difficult circumstances, played a significant role toward his success in basketball.

In the book True Legend, Drew Robinson is a nationally ranked basketball player who needs to prove to not just the world but this old man that he is real and not hype. I chose to read this book because it sounded like a good book when I read the summary. I also chose to read it because it was about basketball and I thought this book would be interesting because basketball is my favorite sport. True Legend has an intense plot, exciting and interesting chapters, and well-used flashbacks.
The Boys of Dunbar written by Alejandro Danois is a compelling narrative about an inner-city Baltimore high school basketball team who became a national powerhouse from 1981-1983. This is “A story of love, hope, and basketball”. Throughout this essay, The Boys of Dunbar will be explained, reviewed and critiqued. As an eighth grader, Tamika Catchings would always go watch her sister’s practice with her high school varsity basketball team and as she would watch, she would literally itch to get out there and play and she looked forward to playing in another year because if she was an even match to her sister in the driveway, she could imagine herself fitting in against juniors and seniors without any problem. Tamika and her sister Tauj were super close but while playing on the varsity basketball team together, there were some rough patches like sadness, distance, frustration, and jealousy.
