I am currently a P&C Technician 1 and in the process of becoming a NE station supervisor in the San Angelo Texas area. My leadership skills have been development from my military experience where I was the leading Petty Officer while aboard the USS McClusky FFG 41 in San Diego California. As LPO for my division we completed and safely navigated over 30 harbor transits throughout a southern pacific deployment, a three month southern pacific surge, and a rim of the pacific exercise. My team showed initiative and steadfast rating knowledge and were imperative during two crucial ship navigation certifications. I finished my service to the country and went on to obtain my AAS in wind energy technology. While attending college at Texas State Technical College I worked as a wind turbine technician. I was the chairman for the diversity committee of the west Texas operation at ONCOR. My team promoted a diverse aspect throughout the day to day operations of the company. We brought forward collaboration throughout the different organization of ONCOR. As well as expanding many employees networking experiences. I joined AEP TNC December 2015 and became a P&C Technician. I completed my Bachelors of Science degree in management while employed at AEP. I completed my technician 1 promotion testing after one year of service with AEP. I currently work and supervise contractors over capital projects for AEP TNC. I have always wanted to better myself and obtain increasing responsibility. I continue to volunteer for committees and learn a wide range of knowledge across the board of AEPs

I chose to be an electrician as my future career. I have already achieved my apprentice license and hope to find an apprenticeship program to go ahead and get my journeyman’s and eventually my masters while making good money working for a company. I like the work as an electrician and the pay makes it even better as a career choice. I have been taking classes for this job throughout high school and have done some side jobs on the side involving electricity. The small jobs I have done on my own I have done very well with and really liked doing the work.
I have worked in many leadership roles in the past, which include dealing with both children and young adults that has caused me to build a huge amount of patience. I am a very confident and optimistic woman who is very encouraging and will push anyone to their full potential. I entered the third professional of my medical school still unsure of what specialty I wanted to pursue.
