Doyle that “She was, like a mother, easier to annoy than please and, like a father, careful to display authority. She always mentioned ‘rescue’ and ‘courage’ and ‘kindness’ ”（ Choy 200-201）. Thus Miss. Doyle was Sekky’s life mentor who guided him to pick the right way that he should be kind, justice and brave.
Some of good qualities my mom has is that she is very generous and is very kind to everyone. My mom is very important in my life because without her i would not be here. She has taught me so much and has always encouraged me to do the things that make me happy. The quote my mom lives by is treat others as they want to be
Her motives are not entirely selfish. She does truly want her son to succeed, based up on the again pathos closing to her letter by using the words “pleasing hopes” (line 58). Abigail Adam’s is merely a mother just wishing her son well and giving her support for him to reach his greatest
Determine to what extent rose is an empowering model for women. Rose is a very honest and kind person but she also has her limits like everyone else in the story does. She has shown that not only she is a loving mother and wife she is very strong. What makes her a good role model for women is that she sacrificed her goals and dreams for her family.

I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity of possibly being a member of the National Honor Society. Being honest is something that I take to great importance even if the outcome can end up unsatisfactory for me. I value my morals because that has shaped me into the person I am today and standing by them helps me remember to value the importance of being a good person to my peers as well as my community. I go to Saint John’s Church and when there are meetings for parents, I volunteer to help and look out for kids. I take joy in teaching them the importance that doing something small can lead to a greater good.
It was easy for me to get accustomed to the Army Values, because my mother raised me with those values. As I grew in my Military career, I realized that integrity is my top value because it ca be incorporated into all other values. When others see me doing the right thing even when I think no one is watching, it encourages them to follow. When I have integrity in my work, I know I am showing my duty, and even respect in my work and myself. This belief is helpful when counseling subordinates for doing something wrong and not hearing “but you do it too Sergeant”.
Through her steadily growing friendship with Mariam, Laila not only becomes happy in having a friend and mother figure, but she also begins to understand the sacrifices that are necessary to be a good mother by following Mariam's example. Mariam sacrificed her life to save Lailas. The human spirit is important because it is really the spirit that gives life to the soul and body. The spirit puts the power and truth to the body, so that it works as it is supposed to.
Malala and her father always fought for what they believed in, she is grateful for having parents that respected her freedom of thought and expression for everyone. Her father encouraged her to follow her dreams of speaking out for peace and education and her mother supported both of them in this campaign. Malala implied that the people’s love and encouragement is what gave her energy to continue her fight for education and to make a change for the education of the women, she wanted to educate the society as in all. She accomplished her goals and what makes her such an important person is that she never gave up on advocating for peace and education. Malala Yousafzai, stood up for what she believed in and changed the
but I was always taught to be thankful of the things that I had and to not be so selfish. Having two other siblings helped me prevent the want of being selfish. I do not know what I would do without my family. My family is very inspiring because they show me all aspects on how I should live my life through their experiences like education, parenting, and work ethic.
Nobody wants to find themselves stuck in a dead end job, especially when they have worked so hard and have dreams of doing so much more. The article, Can Nice Guys Finish First by Jeffrey Pfeffer is about an average man named Adam Baker that is capable of so much more than being just average yet he seems to be holding back. Adam Baker is a guy that everyone knows, because of how approachable he is. Adam was especially proud of his education, graduating at the top of his class at North Carolina. He worked extremely hard in school and had early success by becoming a CEO of a company in his twenties.
I am the employee that is the first to arrive to work and last to leave, the student who picks up the slack when other group members don’t hold up their end of the assignment, the friend that is always there when you call on them, and the mentor that will do anything to ensure my mentee is always at his/her best. Reflecting all of these attributes is my only weakness; always going above and beyond without reward although it may go unnoticed and sometimes can be exhausting. It is a passion of mine to extend a helping hand to others and watch others grow to reach their full potential as I have. Hopefully, I will be that Residential Assistant that residents feel that they can call on whether I am on or off the clock. In terms of strengths, I will examine two strengths outside of the cliché hardworking, critical thinking, and professional strengths commonly named.
This past weekend my softball career came to a complete end. I have spent the last 15 years of my life putting in the hard work, dedication, and endless effort that has brought me to where I am today and I couldn't be more thankful. I have made many friendships along the way that will last a lifetime, and memories that I will cherish forever. Although I'm sad that it has come to an end, I am ready for a new chapter in my life to begin. I want to thank all my coaches and teammates for the continuous support on and off the field, and pushing me to the limits I never thought I could reach.
Thanksgivings What does Thanksgiving mean? Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated to cherish and celebrate everything that you are thankful for, but for some people it may be different. Everyone has a different meaning for Thanksgiving. Some just see Thanksgiving Day as a time to stuff their faces with food for no reason, I am one of those people.
In my We The People class I am asked to really look at the person who is the most influential in my life. We are looking at what it looks like to be a good active citizen of the United States. When I think of a genuine American citizen that possesses active civic virtue, you are the first thought to come to mind. You display the most amount of courage out of everyone I know.
