One of the solutions is by utilization of the wastes, as at the same time it also could increase the positive impacts of palm oil fruit industry. The potential availability and economics of utilization of agricultural residues is more interesting despite of their limitations1). EFB has considerable potential to be utilized in some fields, including as organic fertilizer, fodder, brick-making, mat-making raw materials and media for the growth of fungi and plants. EFB has also lignocellulose as one of its contents which is suitable to be used as raw material for paper
When Japan and India began to mechanize their cotton industries between the 1880s and 1930s, several similarities and differences surfaced. Swidden agriculture also known as slash-and-burn is depicted in a negative light because of myths that has been created from people who are not familiar with its practice or do not understands its purpose. One of the narrative is that it creates a useless and unsustainable land. This could be easily misunderstood as the image of the land after being burned can be seen lifeless and barren. People tend to associate a fertile land with lush greens with the sun in the background and not the image of swidden agriculture. Furthermore, media portrayal of wildfire only puts the idea that wildfire are harmful and should be put out which only makes swidden agriculture seem destructive.

“The vision of a huge fertile garden extending from the Appalachians to the Pacific Ocean had inspired Americans since the early days of the republic” (Out of Many - A History of the American People, pg. 622). Since its beginning, the American ways of farming had always been gradually evolving, but in the time between 1865 and 1900, it transformed like never before. The American tradition of agriculture would experience dramatic changes, as the growth of production and agribusiness would ensue from revolutions in technology, massive increase in population, and alterations in government policies. A major factor in changing the way of agriculture was the new technology being developed in farming and transportation.

As a result, an integrated product added value and competitive cost is required. One of the main potential add on values of Soybean Hull as a bio-based seed tray and flower port is that it contains in moderate amounts, some of the essential micronutrients and macronutrients required for healthy plant growth in addition to crude protein. Some of the micronutrients and macronutrients present in Soybean Hull are Copper, Iron, Manganese, Calcium, Phosphorous, Potassium, Sulfur and Zinc among other nutrients[x]. The properties of Soybean Hull would play a major role in the potential commercialization of SoySprout because it proactively offers essential plant requirements that need to be otherwise provided by the soil.
As we concerned, our food production involve many participants in food supply chain. The food supply chain begin with the collection of raw material, then processing the raw material, packaging the product, transporting the product to consumer then the product on the shelves of supermarket. Stuart (2012) in his talk share about how many oranges, bananas and potatoes wasted during the raw material collection because those fruits and vegetables did not fulfill the manufacturer and supermarket requirements and it leads to land pollution. This situation actually a good thing for the manufacturer image and consumer satisfaction but we forget about the amount of trees had been cut down for the farm and the amount of water consumed to grow the plant. This problem lead to worse environmental problem because Food Agriculture Organization (2013) state in their report, food wastage is responsible for increasing 3.3 billion tones greenhouse gases to the earth’s atmosphere and if food wastage is a country, food wastage is the third top emitter for carbon dioxide gas (CO2) after USA and China.
