For better understanding, the terms listed below are defined consequently and functionally on how they are used in the study.

Illegitimate. It pertains to those children whose biological parents are not married at the time of the child’s birth. They are the respondents of this study. Parenting Style. It describes the four types of parenting behavior when disciplining children. In this study, it is categorized into: authoritative, authoritarian, permissive and neglectful parenting style. Authoritative Parenting Style. Refers to the rearing style wherein the parent tends to become a typical mother or father where they support their illegitimate child in any aspect with proper guidance. It is one of the variables in this study where an illegitimate child inspire and encourage his or herself that everything happens for a reason. Empathy. It is one of the variables in this study that where an illegitimate child understand the situation that he or she where in. Social skills. It is one of the variables in this study where an illegitimate child can still cope up in his or her environment.
Self-esteem. It is the self-confidence and self-respect of an illegitimate child. It can be high or low. In this study, it is measured by Sorensen Self-Esteem.

Low extraversion or Introversion is defined as someone who tends to be shut-ins. Introverts are more likely to be people “of few words”, people who are usually quiet, thoughtful, reserved, introspective and more on contemplation. Introverts are more comfortable being alone and living by themselves. They depend on their alone time to recharge. They also tend to keep their social circle limited. (Jung, 1967)
Agreeableness. Agreeableness concerns your orientation to others. It is a concept that explains on how you generally interact with others. High agreeableness is related to healthy midlife adjustment and strong social support. These are people who are friendly and endearing to others. A person who scores high in agreeableness, tends to be friendly and optimistic, to be respected, well-liked, and sensitive to the needs of others, likely have few enemies, and are sympathetic (Lebowitz, 2016).
Conscientiousness. Conscientiousness factor has been linked to conformity, achievement, and seeking out security and excitement. It is also strongly related to post-training learning, effective job performance, and intrinsic and extrinsic career success. Those high in conscientiousness tends to value duty, order, self-discipline and achievement.
