Cooper also uses regional dialect, for example grampus, and calls out specific people. He leaves his audience with the general idea that this great annihilation of our country’s land and animals needs to stop or there will be nothing left. He creates the idea in the readers head without blatantly stating that there will be no food for new generations or growing populations if this

Chaos probably ran rampant among Indian villages as many of its inhabitants suffered from disease. Native American society was probably more tranquil before it suffered from disease. A specific example of how disease impacted society can be seen when it killed over half of the Inca population and killed their dictator, Huayna Capac. This caused a war of succession to start and allowed for Pizarro and his small group of soldiers to to defeat the Inca.
(2016) describes how A. chrysaetos prefer habitats with coniferous forests in the western United States. They also select habitats made of pinyon-juniper trees or grassland habitats with shrubs. They avoid areas with non-sagebrush shrubs, though, because their prey prefer sagebrush. Golden eagles prey on hares. As the fall and winter approach, grass in the grasslands starts to die, so hares use the sagebrush as cover instead.
Mites have been responsible for the collapse of millions of honey bee colonies over the past decade. For example, the invasive parasitic mite Varroa destructor is the biggest problem for honey bees worldwide. Over the past few decades, is has been spread out of southeast Asia and reached almost a global presence. The mites have responsible for collapsing a colony of 50,000 – 60,000 honey bees can be completely wiped out by a Varroa infestation in as little as 2 years. Mites cause damage to developing honey bees.

However, even though it is rare, it still happens and you can’t predict when it will attack. The quote claims “Exotic animals are wild animals with wild animal instincts, even when born in captivity. A wild animal is never 100 percent predictable.
In 1853, The Gadsden Purchase, a trade between Mexico and the U.S, was completed and the Mesilla Valley was sold to the U.S. for the sum of $10 million. He lost the support of his citizens and was exiled. In total throughout his life, Antonio López de Santa Anna was exiled at least 6 times. He drove back the French and due to shrapnel from a cannon shot, lost his leg. He later hosted a funeral for his leg and somehow his new prosthetic leg was captured and held as a battle trophy!
Trophy hunting has potential to have significant negative impacts on those animals that have drastically dwindling populations. According to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, “the latest surveys estimate that there are fewer than 40,000 wild lions in Africa today, a century ago there were 200,000 lions” (International Fund for Animal Welfare). The Smithsonian also weights in on the issue and reports, “loss of habitat and decline of prey species are huge factors which, in turn, mean increased lion conflicts with livestock herders—and, often, dead lions; and as numbers drop, the gene pool is dwindling, causing inbreeding and weakened immune systems” (Bland). What may or may not come as the biggest surprise is that wealthy American citizens have contributed significantly to such declines. The International Fund also claims at “least 5,663 lions were traded internationally for trophy hunting purposes.

Coco was my first family dog, in 2012 Coco suddenly died in an accident on the beach and I was devastated; a day of fort making and fun turned into a day of sadness. That was one of the most devastating days of my life and I can see the same experience happening for those who cared for the northern white rhino, Nola. “Rare white rhino population drops to 3 with euthanasia at San Diego Zoo”, by Washington Post, talked about the euthanization of one out of the four rare northern white rhinos from the San Diego Zoo. Euthanization is ethical to a certain extent because some animals that experience a lot of pain do not deserve to suffer.
