The ultimate purpose of most people nowadays is to have a good life by acquiring for a high standard of living and happiness. Undoubtedly, everyone interprets the meaning of good life differently and sets their own standards of good life according to their personal development, values, goals and financial conditions. People think of a good life as satisfying their material desires by becoming a millionaire and being able to possess anything they want, whereas some may simply want to have as much fun as possible without suffering from obstacles. Although psychological needs are not vital to survival, it makes life better and can achieve a long-lasting happiness. Relatedness such as love, family and friendship can give us a sense of belonging and acceptance by gaining care and encouragement from people around us (Dierendonck, 2011). Feedback from intimate people often has a significant impact on our sensation of happiness as we generally trust these people and they have an important status in our heart. This increases the recognition from others and gives us a higher sense of security, which will eventually give us a sense of satisfaction and fulfill the non-material needs. Additionally, knowledge and intellectuality can give rise to self-improvement and personal advancement. They can help shape us to have personality with good virtues. Besides knowledge, good interpersonal relationships also allow us to make more friends and enlarge our social circle. Participation in certain recreational activities and hobbies can give us great pleasure and add color to our life.
