Throughout my life, I have learned how to be patient through many people and situations. Patience is an important part of growing up and is still difficult for me. Although it is hard to remain patient with others and myself, my grandmother, my siblings, and babysitting instilled patience in me. Patience is difficult to uphold, but my grandmother never loses her patience. She is an amazing woman who grew up helping to care for her fifteen brothers and sisters. She then went on to have eleven children of her own. I honestly have no idea how she raised eleven children, but she did and I have never heard one story of her losing her patience. Growing up, she taught me how to be a kind, patient, and loving person. She and I are extremely close and she encourages me to be the best person I can be. My grandmother is a true example of patience for me and she inspires me to be like her. Although my grandmother implanted in me the importance of patience, my siblings helped me exercise it. I have one older sister and a younger brother who are great, but test my patience constantly. They know exactly what buttons to press and they do not hesitate to push them. Although I have, and still do, blow up on them occasionally, they have forced me to be patient. My sister and I get along swimmingly for the most part, but the real problem was with my brother. He and I used to get into some pretty vicious fights. I was mean to him all the time and it has taken me sixteen years to finally get
Her seven grandchildren provided her with a way to still be a very helpful person before she died.
She never graduated from the third grade. Yet she's managed to travel the world, raising 6 kids and 10 grand kids and many great-grand children. Not to mention she could make the best banana pudding. I've known my sweet granny all my life. She was a nurturing soul.
She taught people to persevere and stick to their
Even as she got older she still never quit helping others.
She taught her how to appreciate what she had, and how to get a job done.
She then would deliver papers at one in the morning to help my father give my brother and I the best life we could have. She gave up her free time to pay for school, out of school activities, and Disney Vacations every year. I remember overhearing my mother crying because she was so
My personal dragons Anyone can relate to the struggles and the conflict that Beowulf faces throughout his journey to save Hrothgar and his men. There are so many examples of good vs evil in my life and I can relate to his daily struggles as well. For example, Beowulf had to listen to Unferth, who thought completely terrible of him.
In James Baldwin’s story “Sonny’s Blues” it is showing that there is an obligation toward brotherly love. The love between brothers is something that doesn’t fade away. When Sonny was in jail it showed that what his older brother was trying to tell him the difference between what is right and what is wrong, before Sonny got caught was not to do drugs. Doing what is wrong can have a negative impact on our families, friends, our communities and the relationships with our siblings. By watching out for our younger siblings after a parent passes away is the biggest responsibility for the oldest child to have to bare.
The Different Sides of Brother Most siblings growing up don’t get along. They get into lots of fights and plain just don’t like each other. Sometimes they say things they don’t mean including; go away, you’re so stupid, I hate you, and even sometimes I’m going to kill you. In the story The Scarlet Ibis by James Hurst, there is a character named Brother.
Since I am the oldest child, I’ve always had to send a good message to my younger siblings and take responsibility for my actions when I didn’t. No one can have perfect character, it is impossible because everyone makes mistakes. I have shown responsibility by doing what 's right even though there might be consequences. When I make a mistake, I feel very bad and try to make up for it by making sure the work is perfect. I am always honest even though I know I could alway take the easy way out by cheating or lying.
When she moved to America she found a husband she loved very much and together they adopted a child. However, he died and she missed him for the rest of his life. She was left with a child who sure as hell did not appreciate her for the woman she was. Despite all of this, she loved life and was full of love. She taught me, indirectly, that no matter your circumstances in life, you have every reason to be happy still.
Yet she started family at a young age,but she kept moving forward. I’m thankful that my mom is in life ,she is my number one supporter and I couldn 't ask for better hero,no a
Through many broken marriages and un lasting relationships , she still tried to love like she had never been hurt. Her attitude towards what she went through and where she was, made her a strong women. My childhood story was similar to Marilyn’s. I was constantly in and out of foster homes, abandoned and left , never in a stable home. Going through so much at such a young age made me .
This has helped her overcome so much heartbreak, from losing my dad, my sister, and my brother to her own health issues and through it all her faith has never been shaken. I look at my mother with nothing less than amazement. After my dad had his heart attack and could no longer work my mom never failed to provide for all her children, we didn't have a lot but we always had enough. This made me such a humble and grateful person, and I never take anything I have for granted.
In spite of the tough love, she was a very friendly woman. My mother loves working with children and telling jokes. When I was
