With Independence Day around the corner, you 're probably getting ready for fireworks, parades, and barbecues. Patriotic celebrations are fun for people of all ages, great family events, and fantastic ways to reconnect with neighbors you haven 't seen in a while. Lights are one of the most fun ways to add color to your patriotic themed parties. You don 't need to wait for July 4th to throw a great patriotic party, either. The political nature of Mardi Gras consists of satirical floats that are often a sign of frustration towards the government. The iconic design of the Stars and Stripes on the American flag has been a symbol of hope to every citizen in America since its making. Every time an American citizen sees these stars and stripes, they are reminded of their safe home in the United States of America. The first amendment of the United States Constitution protects this traditional way of expressing respect to the Star Spangled Banner.

Red is for power, Yellow means to have faith and love and green is hope and the star means diversity in the country. This is an authentic Ethiopian flag from my great grandparents.
