Is a complete ban on nuts the best way for schools to address peanut allergens? This article "Peanuts in Schools: Is a Ban Best?" written by Charles Burnside is about a boy named Nick Williams who is allergic to peanuts. His mom, Kathy Williams, thinks that the school that her child goes to should ban peanuts. Banning peanuts in schools would not be best way to go. The ban would not help because it gives students a false sense of security. The school states that a ban would not be very helpful by saying,"But that small amount from the factory could cause a reaction in someone who is very allergic." This statement helps the school by explaining that the ban on the peanuts would make a child think that they don't have to worry about the problem
