The attack on Pearl Harbor was in fact a terrorist attack. The Imperial Japanese Navy against the US Naval base. This later led to the US to World War II. (Hanson, V.wnd) After 2 years of their conflict the US begins world war II. The war was belligerent.

Do you know the difference between these two tragic attacks? These two events have both differences and similarities. A huge similarity they have is that both of these attack had a huge impact on the united states.
In both events of Pearl Harbor and 9/11 had a damaging effect on our country. We were terrified and frightened for what could happen next. Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941 at the Hawaiian territory. 9/11 occurred on September 11, 2001 at New York City. The Pearl Harbor attack was caused from a feud we were having with Japan.

During this attack the Japanese managed to destroy twenty American naval vessels, eight battle ships, and more than three hundred aircrafts. The attack was done by Japanese kamikaze fighter pilots trying to destroy the Pacific fleet so America would not be able to fight back while Japan’s armed forces spread across the South Pacific. The day after the assault president FDR went to congress and declared war on Japan with just one dissenting vote.

As much as the Japanese thought they had a great plan they didn't really because most if the aircraft carriers were not in port at the time, they were out at sea.
