The Pediatrics Internship Program aims to provide exposure to various aspects of medicine including research, clinical, and educational opportunities of which would provide an invaluable opportunity to further my interests in the field of pediatrics. One of the aims of this program is to help students gain exposure and familiarize themselves with pediatric medicine which fits well with my career and personal interests. Pediatrics in particular is a field of great importance to me as my own personal history with my pediatrician has inspired me to pursue a career in a field that will be as impactful on the lives of other children as it has on my own. From being able to study epidemiology through data analysis or better understand disease progression through research applications, this internship program will enable me to gain a better understanding of the world around me as well as gain an insight into a field that interests me. Furthermore, this program allows for students to pursue a program that aligns with their interests in an environment that enables a safe and organized introduction into the field of pediatric medicine which would be beneficial to me as an individual who has not had the opportunity to pursue these types of opportunities.
